That's vaguely tempting, but not quite enough to justify paying for it when you've got legions of modders :-P

You got that right. I have Sims 2 Glamour Life stuff pack and theres only a few new clothes in the game. Maybe some items too, but I can`t remember any.
Downloadable material is (much) cheaper :D anyways.

:ninja: Well, i've already played the new expansion pack (Bon Voyage), and it doesn't add much to the gameplay, just a few new locations, items. Got pretty bored with it in less than 20 minutes. But i'll try it again for a 2nd time, to make sure if it's really worthless to me. Course, it might be best for me to play it when i'm in a comfortable mood, maybe..

Thats what i mean, an 'expansion' pack to be worthy of its price should add at least 6-8 hours extra play to a game.

It's not so much the countless locations and items that get old, but more so the gameplay. Since it's just a sit-back and click, click, click, click, click game...well, it gets really boring and stale after awhile. I'm starting to get very bored with it, as for example..when i want my sim to walk to a certain location, i click that spot and watch them walk there; that's boring.

Personally, I loved how they did it in The Sims 2 (console version) where you were given the option to freely control your sim, like being able to play as a sim and move them around freely (like a Japanese RPG character, on a field map.), That was a really nice addition, and much better than clicking all the damn time. Why they won't add that feature to any of these new Expansion packs for the PC version, is beyond me.

The whole system began to bore me a long time ago. With no major changes since the jump from the last Sims expansion to the Sims 2 ive never been interested since. The whole franchise is being milked for as much as it can be right now and countless expansions being made just to generate more cash and sales with little updates are just frankly not worth the prices.

Well, the only reason i'm still into the Sims, is because of the modders, if it weren't for countless Sims modders and them hacking the game's gameplay, I would've thrown my Sims 2 copy away a long time ago. :ninja: Course, I'm pretty close to uninstalling all of my sims games soon, and just leaving them off the comp for good.

Y'know, this topic has reaffirmed the notion that's been growing in the back of my head. Y'know, the one where everyone hates everything I like due to some cosmic law of the universe? XP *Kidding, kidding*
