Re: The Thread for Warriors!

"You have to have some form of mental retardation to think that". Nice. And I'm the one getting mad? Oh I typed in big letters, I must have real problems!

In the interview Molyneux specifically says "...Ricardo's scythe of Hobbe-killing...", when discussing the new morphing weapons. Maybe you should watch the interview a couple more times and actually listen :)

Are you kidding me? Anyone with eyes could see that the weapons in Fable 2 were much smaller and sleeker then those in Fable 1.

Greatsword ----> Long sword
Bow and Arrow -----> Guns
Greatmace -----> Regular sized mace

Even the cleavers in Fable 2 were much smaller and more refined.

And hmmm.... did I say, "I want armour ratings back!"

Or did I say, "Honestly I do think the morphing weapons could interfere with the armour system, so all I really want is some armour to be more appealling to the eye. The clothing was okay in Fable 2, but to get any good looking clothing, you had to either be very creative with your combinations, or buy some sort of DLC. I think the clothing system in Fable 3 should be a combination of both Fable and Fable 2."

Next time, read what I actually said before you go crazy over armour ratings.

I wasn't being angry, I was being snide and douchey because, based on first impressions, I don't like you. Not to mention that what I said was true.

Oh, the irony! Tis you who should go back and watch it again. He said it was an axe, not a scythe.

I'm not talking about the same kinds of weapons getting slightly smaller. I'm talking about the addition of weapons that would be classified as "small weapons". Even if longswords, katanas, cleavers, and cutlasses get a little bit smaller, your character is still going to be using them in the same way. With the addition of smaller weapons like daggers, however, new animations would have to be introduced that are separate from those of combat with regular light weapons. Combat would be different with daggers. That's what sets them apart from a slightly smaller version of a sword.

The armour system in Fable was not only better looks wise, but the defense bonuses were very helpful. In Fable 2, the only thing standing between you and dying is your health, so the only way to increase your chances is to level up your health.

That sounds pretty "pro armor ratings" to me.

Time out!

Kid's behave, or I'll sent you to your rooms, with no supper!

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

honestly, i just want the ability to weild a scythes and daggers i mean its not that wild of an idea so give it a break...and i could care less about armor rating i just want suddle armor for when im trotting around my kingdom then bigger more powerful armor when i go 2 war. and and because lionhead isnt making hundereds of weapons this time and they r going to let them just morph, they will prolly make more original starting classes so the weapons can vary that much more but idk im just speculating here :P

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

I said I prefer the armour looks wise and, while the defense bonuses were nice in the game, I would PREFER it if there was a combination of Fable and Fable 2. Whether it "sounded pro armour ratings" or not, I never even once said the word armour rating, so making an assumption such as that makes no sense.

Maybe you should take a couple deep breathes before posting again. I'm just voicing my opinion, TBH, but it sounds like you have some real beef with me for a reason I can't understand. It's just the internet, you shouldn't be making enemies based on game opinions.

A defense bonus is the same thing as an armor rating, and you were talking about that. It makes perfect sense.

How hypocritical can you get? The reason I'm irritated with you is that you started doing that.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

Are you KIDDING me? I did nothing. I showed no anger, I didn't insult you. You were the person who first insulted me on multiple occasions. Now I'm getting a bit irritated because you're denying it. You're a ridiculous hypocrite. Either calm down or leave me alone.

And I said the defense bonus was nice, but, and I quote, "Honestly I do think the morphing weapons could interfere with the armour system, so all I really want is some armour to be more appealling to the eye." Honestly, man. If you're going to make judgements based on something I said (not to mention being mean about it, to boot) then at least read my post so you can judge something that I ACTUALLY said.

You were talking about defense bonuses and the armor system from TLC before you said you just wanted something appealing to the eye. I don't know why it's so difficult for you to understand why that might make it seem like you wanted armor ratings back.

A gun that's comparable to an Uzi (fire-rate wise). I never said Fable 2 did a bad job. I just want something faster, I don't understand where you're getting the idea that I think Fable 2 did a bad job.

And to everyone who says "daggers don't fit" or "flails don't fit": a scythe is a tool used for farming, yet somehow they're making it work. I don't think Molyneux would even break a sweat over adding daggers.

And armor doesn't just make you look cool, you get awesome bonuses as well. I don't know about you, but I want a hero not a Barbie doll.

That sure looks like anger to me. And what did I do before that? Nothing. Sure, I may have started the direct fight between you and me, but only because you were doing something I didn't like, and I stand by my decision to do so.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

That may have been a sign of anger, but only because you thought I was saying that I disliked the handling of guns in Fable 2, which was false. And I tried to say that but you didn't listen. Typing in big letters really shouldn't provoke you to call me a mental retard, though.

I can see how you could have misconceived that I wanted armour ratings back, but through what I've shown you, you can see that I don't. Maybe you want a clothing system identical to Fable 2, and I want a combination of Fable and Fable 2, but we can both agree that armour rating should not return.

This is a really stupid fight, and it should end. If I did do anything to provoke you, then I apologize. I just don't think we should have a big argument about an Xbox game on a forum on the internet. Our views aren't so different, it was mostly just a misunderstanding.

You will always have to deal with people making assumptions. Just try not to get angry unless they make the same assumptions after being told otherwise.

Dualist;380475 said:

I did, actually. After you clarified what you meant, I didn't say anything else about it.

Dualist;380475 said:

That's not all that provoked me. After that post, I just said that you shouldn't get angry over another person's opinion, and you remained angry, at least perceivably. That's what did it.

Well sure, I can see that now.

Alright, if that's how you wish to view it.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

You're ridiculous. I'm trying to end this peacefully, but as I suspected you would, instead of mutually apologizing, you gave a sarcastic remark, and then tried to butt yourself in the good light. As if anyone even gives a sh*t.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

That post wasn't just a complete olive branch. You continued the argument to a certain extent, so I did too.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

Okay, maybe it wasn't totally apologetic, but you could've at least shown some form of remorse instead of completely ignoring my attempt at resolution.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

I do accept your apology, I just don't think it was a misunderstanding. That's why I said "Alright, if that's how you wish to view it."

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

Normally one is supposed to apologize in return, especially when phrases such as "mental retardation" and "d*ckish" were exchanged.

And I think it was a misunderstading. The whole reason this began is because I typed an angry message because people did not understand what I was saying about Fable 2 guns, and repeatedly said "Fable 2 did a great job!" even though I wasn't trying to demean Fable 2 in anyway.

While others might feel sorry for saying what I said, I don't. I feel that my actions were justified, and I stand by them. An apology from me in this situation would be completely empty and mean absolutely nothing.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

Thank you, Necromancer, for confirming my suspicions that you're a self-righteous asshole.

And tbh, I'd prefer an empty apology over none at all. Not because it would give me any comfort, but because it would be the right thing to do.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

i dont think that armors should have bonuses because theres another fundamentle issue PM has been trying to avoid. Just like everyone going to the top weapons. Same with this, everyone will end up going to the same clothing and that doesnt make you feel unique and powerful. I'd love to have them though, but with no upgrades, like the Knothole Knight armor.

Re: The Thread for Warriors!

yeah, that's what I'm saying.
