It seems Microsoft isn't done with its killing streak, it just confirmed that its officially cancelled Scalebound.

I wasn't terribly hyped for this game, but I am disappointed that Microsoft has done another "Fable Legends". Scalebound did look amazing, and it's a great shame.

More info here.

Based on rumours it sounds like it was going through some major development issues & Microsoft didnt want to keep throwing money at it, as it had already been delayed & was behind schedule yet again.

Atleast it looks like the studio will remain open and no one has to lose their jobs.

Platinum arent owned by Microsoft so yeah thats not going to happen. Microsoft were funding the game however & for whatever reason decided to pull the plug. From outsiders point of view it looks like the game was having engine issues & still running poorly even after the delay. Then it seems Platinum had an even bigger vision for the game when it was still struggling performance wise & Microsoft simply werent willing to keep throwing money at the devs to continue development.
