These damn pets...

What's wrong with dogs?

Aside from what ZJ just said, my old golden retriever passed away not long ago and I'm still uncomfortable with having a new dog in the house for the time being.

And that, children, is why it's always best to keep your Xbox in a horizontal position.

I would, but I've no room for it in any other position other than vertical. :P

Oops, every dog I've EVER seen must be the wrong dog then.

Our cats bug me for food much more than the dogs and they can climb on more surfaces to steal food than the dogs and they also for the most part make more noise than both our dogs too with their constant meowing to be let into rooms. Also the cats like to try and sit on my laptop as im typing or climb onto my lap or walk infront of the tv on the cabinet. The dogs are happy to lie on floor or sofa next to you and though they whine sometimes its normally because they want to go out, only awkward at the minute because we cant simply let them out when the fence is down.

Our cat used to be a handful. He wasn't really poorly behaved... We got him as a rescue and the previous owners had had his front claws surgically removed so we can't let him outside. He was never that badly behaved (except when it came to chewing on my pokemon cards) but he's a born hunter. Our house growing up had a terrible rat problem and he'd just go nuts catching rats using only his hind claws and his teeth. We'd get lots of "presents" from him in those days.
When he turned 5 he really mellowed out. He mostly just sits around doing nothing all day. Only complaint is that he loves eating houseplants and the bottom of brooms which make him throw up. Nasty.

One of our dogs was the opposite of a problem child, the other was a brat. She would bark at everything and try to bite you when you went to touch her. If you ignored her because you didn't want to be bitten she'd bark and jump to get your attention. Non. Stop. Luckily she grew out of that after 6 months when she was around 1 year old. I positively hated that dog when she was a puppy.

The lesson here Scotty is to let them get older. They all mellow out eventually.

Well, they'll both be turning 3 over the next few months so I have a long way to go until then.

My cat Hobbes has a serious problem with licking everything. He licks the walls, plastic bags, the wood, the metal railing, my clothes, and he used to eat all the plants as well which has resulted in him vomiting white fluid. Got him some antibiotics from the vet and he's laid off the plants it seems, but he just won't stop licking everything.

Buddy on the other hand just steals my food every chance he gets (especially bacon & chicken), I can't turn my back for a second with him so I have to always put it on the kitchen counter whenever I have to get up to do something.

Your cat is named after the comic strip tiger? So is mine! Damn I feel unoriginal..

Not intentionally, especially since he looks like Sylvester. Whereas Buddy looks and acts just like Garfield, had I got them both at the same time I probably would've named them as such.
