It's certainly possible - you can search through loads of templates and find a style you like and then mess around with it as you please, pretty much. WordPress also has plugins you can install to make it even better, depending on what you want to have on your site. For example, if you wanted to have a forum you can have a plugin to download the forum and then another plugin to stop spammers going nuts all over the place.

To alter graphics you will need an image editor such as a painting programme or similar.

In order to host a website, you need a web hosting company - these are the people who have servers which for a nominal fee per month you can use them to "rent" internet space for your site. I recommended TotalChoiceHosting because we use them and get very few problems on the whole. They are cheaper, reliable and answer questions quickly as opposed to some other hosting companies. But do some digging and find the company which suits you best...there are a lot of them around.

If you mean experience with building a site, then it really is up to you and what is being required of you. W3 Schools are the best place to practice various bits and bobs if you do want to try your hand at a little coding.

Otherwise, if you are going for WordPress or something pretty similar, then just go for it - if you make a mistake you can delete it fairly simply and you can always "save" a page before you decide to publish it - you can always edit it at any time too. Trial and error is sometimes the best way to learn something and there's no harm done if you make a graphic look weird or text comes out wrong. Just edit or delete and try again.

Piece of paper and a pencil is always useful too so you can sketch out some ideas first and then try to apply them to your site to see if they work.

Not much - domain name will set you back about £3-£5 per year (you can pay more for private registration which means no one can see any of your details such as name, address, phone number etc). Hosting prices vary depending on who you are with - per month for basic shared hosting with TotalChoiceHosting (shared meaning other people use the same server as you) you are looking at somewhere between roughly £2.50-£4 per month (check a currency converter to be sure as TCH are American, so all their prices are in dollars). The better the package, the pricier it is, but with higher prices comes a greater degree of service.

WordPress is free as is Smart FTP ;)

i just got some good news apperently the site has already got a domain name and a host theyjust have uploaded anything. A few questions that i will need help with. How could i alow other people e.g other mangers to upload details onto the site (match details)

You need proper coding for that if you want it done really well - WordPress does have a comment system which you could use but that's not really going to look that great.

I can't create the necessary code as it's a bit out of my league - the other, less attractive, option is to either give each manager their own blog area to dedicate to their particular matches and team details or have a contact page whereby they can email you or whoever is in charge of the site the necessary information and you post it yourself on the relevant page.

You can but the Mod CP is restricted to what access they can have, so if you hoped that they could help you with anymore than usual Mod duties they wouldnt be able to.
