To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

For the record I'm not hatin on Fable I love Fable. But it seems like people are getting the Red Rings Of Death from Fable 2. Now my Xbox was fine, every once in a while it say it couldnt read a disk (Cause it's all scatched up) Then I play Fable and I'm getting the Red Rings, and the Red Ring (E71). Is Fable to blame or my Xbox? I think it may be my Xbox but Fable cause it cause Fable actually made my Xbox work, or Fable 2 F*** up my Xbox, or I got a bad Xbox.

Is Fable to blame or my Xbox?:(

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

I saw a lot of posts online about this being the case, but I saw similar posts when other games were released, but most of these were E74 errors. The E71 error is most commonly caused by the 360 messing up an automatic update. However, this update was released at the end of October. Did you just get or hook up live? If not it could be that another update, even Fable's caused it. If that's the case then you can try deleting the cache to see if that fixed it.

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

id have to blame the xbox on that one pal. unless fable 2 was found to be so complicated that the xbox cant handle it.

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

i saw a post on a nuther fourm telling you if fable 2 could kill your xbox this was complacated but i says its a 50/50 chance of it happaning

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

Ive heard people blame about 9 games so far on the RROD. Its not the games fault and is down to the Xbox or also the location of your Xbox. If its too close to a wall or has anything blocking the air flow around it then it will more than likely get it. Handful of things can cause the RROD but its not the games. People only blame the games as some titles like Fallout 3, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Fable 2, COD 4 (some examples ive heard) people play for hours and hours at a time causing 360 to overheat.

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

Ok I deleted all the Auto Updates and downloaded them again, I moved my Xbox so the Air flow isnt being blocked, lets see how it plays, but The first I played Fable 2 it kept freezing up on me

It works froze up once after a long time of playing

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

Once its overheated, you have to send it in to microsoft, or it will just keep freezing. Go to the microsoft support site, tell them that your xbox has a red ring. They should send you a box, when you get the box, follow the instructions, then take it to the post office. In about a week or two, you should have your baby back, and brand new.

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

Yeah I'm gonna do that after Christmas, cause Christmas is almost here and I'm getting a lot of games

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

I got Fable 2 for christmas and it worked fine the first 2 times i went through it however then it started freezing so i bought a second game and then that started freezing before i could even get through the game not only that but my i had to replace the entire xbox and the game still didnt work so i had to clean a perfectly good game 3 times and install it onto my hard drive before i could even play it again. So i mean what do i blame?

Re: To blame or not to blame Fable 2?

Your spouse disappearing is a very common glitch, almost everyone has it once in a game, the internet if full of ways to fix it, in my games it always fixed itself. Don't worry, it's quite common...
