and that's a station I'm sure of it!

Hmmm..... i'd call that more of a shack or Hovel than a Train station but seeing i said this it'll probably be the opposite of what i say (because i have really really really ****ty luck when it comes to guessing what things are)

Re: Train Tracks spotted

I'm sensing a new mode of transportation here.

the sword he's got looks like the same old scimitar to me. Oooh I like trains. Maybe there's train Hobos! :D

Train Hobbe Hobos!

Re: Train Tracks spotted

Because regular drunken bumbling hobos wouldn't be? lol.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

Well, if makes perfect sense! The Hobbes really do look like hobos with their ragged clothing and all. And they've got the attitude to match.

"Nothing beats the Hobo life, stabbing folks with my Hobo knife..."

Re: Train Tracks spotted

Dude, this "Hero" is ridiculous! Leaving dead bodies on a railway, knowing a trains going to come along eventually and kill several handfuls of people...

I doubt a body would derail a train. More like it will just go "SPLOIIIISH!".

Re: Train Tracks spotted

I hope its a mine. A mine section would be cool.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

Hahahah This is a cool photo nice find.. i think.. its.. a train.. but just maybe.. haha the graphics of th epicture are quite **** if you ask me no offence ha

Dang... :O Someone did their homework on this, didn't they?!

Ha. Thanks, but not quite. I've always liked trains, so I've read Wikipedia about them a few times. And my brother's a coaster buff, so I picked up a bit of that by osmosis/more Wikipedia.

Thanks for the starters guide to trains, tracks and other railway interests.
For more on the subject of tracks and there sizes I would recommend reading about Isambard Kingdom Brunell,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isambard_Kingdom_Brunel
As the father of modern steam and railways he would have been able to help us out with this track!;)

Ha again. People kept suggesting him in the last discussion, too. And you're probably right. But I prefer to ask Tom Thumb. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Thumb_(locomotive)

Not that "he" could tell us much, or even has anything to do with this, but come on, the Marylander nerd needed throw something in to counter the Brit.

Hobbeos? I like it! Then we can raid their dens hidden in the depths of the caboose, slaughtering them all to the last hobbelet.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

The water tank by the player means this is a train and not a mine. Those things were used to refill trains cooling tanks.
Why is there a train in the imperial ages? Also, could this have been removed from the final game?

Re: Train Tracks spotted

we also need to remember, this is technically a different universe. it's totally plausible that it's a train. it could even be a train that runs on willpower for all we know.
either way, it looks like a train to me! and i love it!

Only steam engines needed water-- to make steam. At least as far as I know.

And there could be lots of other power sources.

And "imperial ages?" There have been many empires in many times and at many tech levels-- and in many universes. To which one do you refer?

And yes, it could not appear in the game.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

to small for a train track - its possiable it can be the manual hand one with 1 person both side pushin up down but most likely its gona be a mini cart that they just put ore in etc etc

Re: Train Tracks spotted

No, I really don't think the gauge is too narrow. Really, there have been narrow-gauge railways on some VERY narrow track gauges.

It could be that it's just orecarts or something... but the looks of the little station-thing and the surrounding scenery doesn't look like it to me, or at least not much.

Of course, it could always be that the Lionhead people plain didn't put all that much thought into their track gauges, and just made them.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

I think I have a theory! It makes all the sense in the world!

You know those things that they have on railroad tracks, like a little wagon with a sea-saw on it and you have to guys pumping it to make it move? God knows I don't know what it is called in Swedish, let alone English, but whatever.

Anyway - the big tank is obviously to dump tons of water to cool those two guys off as they ride along, pulling countless mine carts on their tail.

Re: Train Tracks spotted

ultimately, maybe it's just safe to say that there will be some sort of rain-like transportation in the new fable?

we all know how they love to leave breadcrumbs like this...

Handcart, in English. Or at least I've seen it called that once or twice. Might have another technical term if you Wikipedia it.

Mmm... tons of water to the head. Not THATS what I call a shower.
