Without buying one of those damn cables.
My problem is that, after a crazy number of years, considering the 360's notorious tendency to die, we finally had to replace ours.
My options are thus, since the old system is dead:
Buy a $20 cable to transfer our old saves. (No.)
Borrow a working, older Xbox from someone else, transfer saves to USB, transfer from USB to new XBox.
Borrow a transfer cable.
Does anyone know of a simpler solution?
