Transportation

true, but it would be kinda cool to have side quests on the trains, like if your evil you could hijack the train, or if your good you could stop a high jacking from happening or somethin like that.

Welcome to the forums ^_^

That idea sounds a little to wild west style for my liking to be honest.

I for one haven't changed my mind about anything.

if you had the ability to teleport anywhere you wished at a moment's notice, would you still take the train?
I wouldn't.
That's why it's lame and to me wouldn't feel like Fable.
It has nothing to do with whether the universe could have developed the technology, it has to do with why in the hell people who can whisk themselves from point A to point B would instead waste the time and the resources getting there on some rickety train...
how heroic is that? way to inspire the masses! you could have used your abilities to appear out of nowhere, but instead you used your gold to buy yourself a trip on the old 3:45...
you could have saved my family the instant **** started to go down, but instead you decided to take the train... oh, but you missed the last one of the day... oh well, I can make a new family
that's retarded O.o

Oh? You still don't like the guns idea? Damn, there's my analogy right out the window.

And, allow me to point something out: WHEN was the last time you saw a trader, villager, Hero's Guild Apprentice, or indeed anyone but Heroes and Bodyguards use a Cullis Gate, let alone a teleporter? HMMMM?

My point is that, A) Trains are cool, B) There are people in the Fable world aside from the Hero and other main characters, and C) There could be some interesting train quests, or just the ability to regain mana, or sleep (regain mana and health), or trade while you travel, without stopping to do whatever you need to.

The train would also have even more purpose if, as some people have surmised and/or hoped, there is no teleportation in Fable 2. Though yes, I do want teleportation.

when the hell did I say that? I said I haven't changed my mind on anything. Because I haven't. :noexpression:

when was the last time you played the game as someone other than the Hero, like a trader or a villager? HMMMM?:rolleyes:
I'm playing the game to be the hero and I don't give a flying **** what the local rubes want to get up to in their spare time. there's a reason why I'm the Hero and they're not: I can do things they cannot... I can teleport to the danger and nip it in the bud, whilst they idle their time away on a train...
I also don't recall the last time a trader or villager defeated Jack of Blades, but that doesn't mean I had to put my thumb up my butt when the the battle came just cause none of the other boys are doing it

there may be ways to create interesting side quests, but far it will be far harder for them to explain to me what the hell I'm doing riding the train in the first place ;)

Re: Transportation

Sigh... obstinate. So, so, obstinate. You know what? I'm just going to stop having this argument... okay, no I'm not, but I will restrict myself to answering just one of your comments:

You're not, as I could have sworn Molyneaux had said, a Hero in this game as in "Member of the Guild of Heroes." So where did you get the nifty little Guild Seal that seems to be what lets Heroes and Bodyguards teleport? And, if you use Cullis Gates, who says that there will be one near all the modern-day towns you go to? And if you do get a Guild Seal or the equivalent, then you still can't teleport to places where there aren't Cullis Gates unless you just teleported away from there, so you'll need to walk to some places... or, perhaps, take the quicker route of hopping on the train instead of running there.
