Treasure Island of Doom glitch?

Okay. So after I went to the island and collected all of the treasures, it prompted me to return to Salty Jack. Though for some reason, no golden trail appears in bloodstone when go there. All other cities there is a golden trail, but there is none in Bloodstone that will lead me to Jack, so I can't finish the quest. Please help.

hes at the entrance where you entered the sinkhole, by the pirate ship.
