trouble with elliot

I started a new game,sooo,this time I decided to marry Elliot. Everything was fine,but everytime i go to the house to look for him he's never there! I tried looking for him,and when I do find him he's drunk throwing up and stuff. I tried 'making a baby' with him lol but for some reason it fails. :/ maybe this is a glitch...anyone else having trouble with Elliot?
