Unrealistic rarity of bandit gloves/boots and YOU!

On less cohesive forums about Fable II there's always a slew of people offering anything and everything for bandit gloves. Understandably. Who doesn't want 'one' fingerless glove? Considering the new bikeresque gear Thriller themed characters can finally be realized.
Then the boots. Frumpy cumbersome looking things that look like something that would be in the closet of a man who's been searching for gold in the misty mountains since the age of eight.

Why are these so sought-after?

It's a tad enigmatic to me.

Iv been around here for awhile and iv rarely seen anyone ask for those Items..

I found the gloves in the DLC today. *shrugs*

I've never seen the gloves in any of my games, nor the boots.

Iv been around here for awhile and iv rarely seen anyone ask for those Items..

I have seen people ask on these forums for badit clothes once or twice.

They're for sale on Knothole Island sometimes, I have a few pairs.

You can only get the boots and gloves if you marry a thug. You have a 2% chance of receiving them as a gift. Without DLC, of course.

They aren't much to look at, but if you want the full bandit outfit, they are pretty cool. Wish I could give you a pick, but alas, my knowledge doesn't extend to that.
