Unregistered users.

I just checked, we have about 20 registered users online and 1100 unregistered viewers.

What the hell?

I think the staff should make it so you have to register before you can view the boards. That way it wouldn't be so dead. :p

By the way, I'm high as hell right now, I spraypainted my Rockband guitar and forgot to open the door.

Re: Unregistered users.

^ that pretty much says it.
the site serves as a brilliant reference to any fable-related questions. most guests find the threads through google, rather than navigating the boards themselves

Most of those unregistered people are here looking for answers to questions relating to Fable, like sex change potions and sand gooses and such. That or they're crawlers/spiders/bots. Of these, some will register. Of those who register, few will post. Of those, fewer will stick around for a week. And of those, even fewer will stay for a long while. But if they can't initially come here looking for answers and such, there'd be little reason to register at that point.

Summed up right there really and even if they registered they would only stick around long enough to get their question answered or for one thing. So whats the point in making them go through the whole registration process for something so small. At least the people who take the effort to register can interact with the community and we know they plan to stick around (even if its just for a short while).

The only forums ive ever really registered on are ones i could view the content on first. I can see if they have the information etc i want first and see what the community is like. Then as a thank you for them providing me with what i want (and if the community looks good) i will register. That way i can also give my knowledge of certain things back to the community there and maybe help out. If you have to register for a site first then realise they dont have what you want there then you will look around for a forum thats open to guests too so you dont waste your time again.
