so...did anyone else think it's possible that the darkness was a being of the void?
it does have the ability to posess people like *certain other beings of the void we know*
and the way its abilities were animated were very similar to that of the other *certain being*.
just to be clear, i AM NOT saying that the void being in question is the same that we fought before. it could be another one, and i seriously doubt it has any connection with the shadow court.

what do you think?

More like a Banshee.

But I do see where you're coming off from. Possible, but I never heard ANYTHING to do with the Void in Fable. I believe it came somewhere, like you said. I just find it hard to believe IT came from Aurora itself.

It makes sense.

Did anyone know that the Crawler is more than familiar about Theresa? I was playing today and he said a few times something about a "blind seeress."

How many blind people do we know in Albion?

nice thinkin Rat.

hmm..... another reason she might be evil... or does things unknown to us.

I like the idea about a banshee, it kinda looks like a elder banshee, like a king won, but way stronger, and RAT me you and somebody else had that convorsation and i mentioned to you that he said that about Theresa, so if lionhead made him say that, i think theres more to it and that means me and RAT theory" is correct,(about theresa)

Typically Banshees are only female, though. And they seem to be INCREDIBLY set into one specific way: they all float around killing people in quiet areas with little ghost kiddies.

But The Crawler is way different. He seems driven. Not there just to attack who's in his domain, but to devour the world. Let us also remember The Crawler often spoke as if he was serving "darkness" rather than being a powerful controller of it. He often seemed to be under the impression that someone, or something would protect him. That kind of confidence doesn't come from a leader, it comes from a soldier, a right-hand man.

:)

Yet again, you manage to bring your 'Theresa conspiracy' theories back into an unrelated thread.
This is about the Void, not Theresa.

I think you could be right about the Crawler, Cheez. It's hard to believe he just came to being randomly. Especially in a place like Aurora.
What I wanna know is;
What are the children of shadow? Is he their leader, or is he a subordinate? It's kinda hard to discern. The Crawler speaks too cryptically to get a good idea.
Broken little toys
You feed us, you feed us
The eyes are gone forever
Thank you for your desparation
You're tainted. The sun will never shine upon you again
Too wierd..

Banshees are female only. Also, lets stop including Theresa into every whack-job theory, alright? Theresa and her motives are very vague but does that mean she has something to do with every little bit of shady business that happens in Albion/Aurora? No.

Anyways, it's very possible the Crawler came from The Void as did The Court but since Lionhead hasn't really given us much to go on... well... who knows? I doubt we'll ever know, actually.

Also, my good man mjmarin12 has told me that once you defeat the Crawler, Reaver leaves a note for you telling that he is leaving Albion. Reaver is pretty much owned by the shadows... Now, I'm not saying the Crawler is the Shadow Court, but I did notice the Crawler kept saying, 'the Dark Guardians will protect us' loads of times in combat. Perhaps the Shadow Court are the Dark Guardians? I'm just speculatin'.

And yea, the Crawler says, 'And why didn't the Blind Seeress warn you about us...?' the first time you meet him.

Ahem.

Theresa can see the future using her powers and the Spire... therefore, she knows the fate of Albion. That automatically includes her in everything.

i think theresa was only aware of the beings existence. she's taken on the role of a passive observer, only intervening very VERY early in advance to create a possible future, but never making sure that it happens.

and furthermore, you have a point GhostlyIcicle.
the crawler doesn't really have an origin or an identity. it's kind of weak when presented as a standalone game, because it doesn't seem to have any context with the previous fables. i'd like to hope it's related somehow, otherwise fable games are just becoming games with theresa in them and a new random foe.

EDIT: :ninja:'d
purp, the whole "dark guardian" thing i only noticed him saying when i had to fight one of those big statues that resemble alex mercer. i just assumed he was referring to the statue enemies protecting the weaker guys.
and let's not forget that some of his enemies are called "minions"

No actually he speaks in a ways for example, like a cult leader would say, like he is blinded by the truth and thinks somethin that they owuld worship will protect them, get what im sayin.

I read the note, and ya thats definaly a possibility, it just so happenes reaver had to go deal with the court right when the attack came

Actually, no. While she may be able to see all that is, all that has been and all that will be does not mean she has anything to do with the events. She's a neutral third party, so to speak, and as such she doesn't seem to do anything that directly affects anyone or anything.

nah, she does help the heroes. she gave sparrow the music box, and she helped the fable 3 hero unlock their potential as a hero. she doesn't directly interfere, but she can set the wheels into motion for whatever she wants.

She doesn't help them per se, but rather she gives them the means in which to help themselves.

I think the crawler may be from the void. I do recall him saying something like "Don't you wish for your kingdom to join a black void?" Or something, but it just might be another use of the word 'void'.

Neutral! BWHAHAHA!!!!!!

Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.

I'd much rather talk to a brick wall than you on this subject. You're incredibly delusional.

I know how rude that sounds and I apologize but I read your thread and I know exactly how you think.

So in other words, yeh, she does help. She's giving the means, so she's helping. Contributing.
Theresa isn't evil. Full stop. :@
Thread's been totally derailed, ahaa. Back to the Void, I think the Crawler probably does come from the Void. He looks like he could do.

I've had to say it so many times. (This theory is everywhere thanks yo Blaze and Rat)
Think about all the events of the past two games. Without her, the world would have been destroyed. Twice.
