Was I banned in CoD 4?

Alright here's the story. Tonight I discovered 'Boosting' (where you meet someone in cage match and take turns with headshots) I did that for a few hours and went to bed. When I woke up this morning and got on CoD4 I try to search for a cage match and I get put in a cage match lobby and it just says "Searching for one more player" no one comes in. This happens to every single playlist or whatever (Sabotage, Domination, etc.) But the weird thing is that I can join peoples session in progress, but I get really laggy (the lag might just be my connection) Whats the deal? Any help would be appreciated.

Chances are your connection is playing up thats all as it sounds like a matchmaking issue. Leave it for a while and should be fine again.

Think about it this way, if you can still play online (joining game, even getting on xbox live section) you've prolly not been banned.

No, they don't do anything about boosting. I used to do it all the time. Sort of ruined the whole one on one thing. Now people get into arguments, say they are good, boast, challenge to one on one, go to a private match, one wins, loser finds excuses, they go again, repeat.
