What are you watching at the moment?

A lot of shows do that actually. It's pretty common, at least on American television.
Yeah I get that, the walking dead Season 2 was the first time I came across this type of thing, it kind of reminds me of a film's intermission like on Paint Your Wagon. But we don't have this in british tv as far as I know.

been watching The Walking Dead, Fringe, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, and waiting for the return of Game of Thrones & Spartacus.

What season of dexter are you up to? I've been watching season 7, only two episodes left. As good as the show is I think its gone past its peak but the show has been renewed till season 8.

On the current season, but I didn't catch last night's episode yet. Yeah it's definitely past its high point, season 3 is still my least favorite of them all. But I have to say I am genuinely enjoying this current season, probably cause Deb is getting more depth to her already awesome character, and the relationship with Dexter and her was kind of interesting even though it didn't go anywhere (concept probably offended too many people). But the LaGuerta parts of this season is really getting me interested, even though the outcome I'm afraid will end up being terribly obvious since they want the show to continue.

I'm downloading episode 11 atm, Spoiler! I was really disappointed that they decided to kill off Isaac he was a great character that could of had some great parts, plus I love Ray Stevenson in general he's a great actor first saw him in Rome a great show btw ten times better than Spartacus. If the show is going to go anywhere it needs to put Dexter in the spotlight again like in season 2 (my favourite season to date). Though I can't tell where its heading the show has drifted completely off the book's radar but I have to say its turned out much better. A couple of seasons ago I wanted Dexter to take the secret to his grave but now I want him caught for some real drama. :P

Mid season? You mean they're doing the same thing they did with season 2, so when it picks up again in Feb it'll still be season 3?

I find this very confusing. I keep thinking its a new season

Yeah lots of shows do it, normally longer series that are closer to 20 episodes long however. It will just be the next episode of Season 3 when it returns, I think its so the show airs for longer and there is less of a gap between seasons.

Rome is amazing, frickin' love that show and definitely more than Spartacus. Wish it didn't get canceled. Ciaran Hinds <3

I was upset about that too, because when I first saw Sirko I was like "Oh, okay.. generic badass crime lord" and then they spun it completely around giving him a believable purpose with an interesting personality, to the point he could've probably made a rather nice protagonist... maybe. Yeah, right now it's just all over the place and it seems like every character has their own storyline going on instead of solely Dexter, which leads to what we have now with too many seasons, because some characters are getting episodes exclusive to themselves (like Quinn)... which just slows down and stretches things out. Not to mention the show just feels a lot more poetic when it's only on Dexter.

Same, especially if it ends up turning things around with Dexter being an antagonist maybe, based on the recent episodes with his dark passenger. How he starts as this heroic vigilante to being the very thing he's against as just another serial killer that does it for pleasure.

Watched Hunter × Hunter at someone's recommendation. Was greatly disappointed. Trying not to complain too much about it for fear people don't bother recommending things to me anymore, which I am afraid has already happened when it comes to games and movies. It's been a long time since I've watched Dexter, caught up on the more recent episodes. No spoilers, just gonna say bros (and sisters) before hos. Duh.

I watched the Total Rekall remake (and misspelling). Enjoyed it, actually... despite what people have been saying. I was a fan of the original with Schwartzy, too. It was a fun movie. Different enough from the original where I'd call it a re-imagining more than a remake.

MIB3 was awesome. I love Men in Black. This was without a doubt another Men in Black movie.

Bourne Legacy was a disappointment. It's obvious they cut a lot of money from the budget. It looked more like I was watching a TV show than a movie. Though, it was fun watching Edward Norton. I'll bet his paycheck is what sponged up most of the budget.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 8 has been excellent. Particularly enjoyed the episode where Charlie stops stalking the waitress and it turns out that his creepy stalker activities were the only thing keeping her life from going to **** so she winds up begging him to stalk her again.

Next on my list is the Abraham Lincoln movie. I hope it is less serious than Cowboys & Aliens. I was really disappointed in how Cowboys & Aliens tried to not be a complete joke. It was like watching a duckling try to be a door stop.

You should watch Bubba Hot-ep.

A movie that perfectly walks the line between taking itself too seriously and being too ridiculous.

Also it, it has Bruce Campbell.

Don't be ridiculous, that was a documentary! Raising awareness for Elvis baby.

South Park and SATC re-runs. Mostly use it as background noise because I'm a loser.

I'm not really the sort to follow teevee programmes religiously, with the exception of GOT. That show is the tops. I've been meaning to check out The Walking Dead. Looks amazing.

Sons of Anarchy.

Anyone?

A couple of seasons on Lovefilm so I had that on my list, looks decent & some friends like it so I will give it a go when the shows I currently watch seasons end.

Currently spent last night watching 5 episodes of Fringe trying to catch up before the finale, be sad to see it end but think the time is right.
