What Do Your Video Game Characters Typically Look Like?

I often try to make my female characters both sexy and badass. Strong armor, but still attractive. It's good when that strong armor is attractive... And I always try to use magic as much as possible, which makes me give the character's outfit a robe-influencem in one way or another. I have to agree
i like robes and straps, blets, zippers and s***, but not over kill like in KH that just ****es me off,

i love robes and/or long jakets^ harry in goblet of fire looks mighty bad ass if you ask me
with this.

Well, it's actually preset 1, with bedraggled hair style and rough beard (I think?)...

So yeah, it's not default at all.

Great, I get to make a list!

Fable I:
I loved the "Tramp Beard", so most of my characters had that for their facial hair. Other than that, I used the "Power Moustache", "Big Beard", "Standard Beard", and "Mutton Chops". As far as hair on the head, most characters ended up either the "Normal Haircut", "Warrior Stripe", or "Ponytail". I tried to get all the clothing/armour for my characters, but I generally wore armour, platemail/chainmail, or the villager clothes.

Fable II:
For facial hair, I of course had either the "Tramp" or the "Man Bib". My hairstyle was either a "Mullet" or "Long Hair". As for clothing, I almost always wore the "Noble Gentleman's Outfit". After I bought Reaver's house and acquired a few precious clothing dyes, I tended to change the colour of the outfit quite often so I wouldn't get bored. (The only annoyance was that I couldn't change the colour of that blue bowtie, but I won't discuss that any further.)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
The first time I played this game I chose to be born a Breton; however, I recently bought Oblivion, and found that an Imperial was much more my type. On that account, I had long black hair. I always wore the best armour I could find (or steal), so I found myself in possession of "Imperial Legion" armour and an "Imperial Watch" shield. After I conquered the Arena, I wore the "Heavy Raiment of Valor" and an "Imperial Horseman Helmet".

The Godfather: Hair was almost always combed back. I wore double-breasted suits and three-piece suits.

The Godfather: Part II: Hair was slicked back. I usually wore either dress pants and a short sleeved dress shirt, or a three-piece suit with either an ascot, tie, or bowtie.

Fight Night: Round 3: My hairstyle was either the "Pompadour" or the "Messy Ivy League". My trunks were usually the expensive ones with the stylized flames and personalized name across the front. Gloves were usually just the expensive gold ones. Boots were the lace-up knee-boots.

too bad the chicks look like lesbians. real lesbians, not the fake kind in porn.

The only logical explanation I have is that every woman has been to the Spire and thus the Prison Butch look. Remember what Theresa said, everyone that actually leaves the Spire alive is forever changed.

In their case, they entered with clean clothes, skillets, and other cooking utensil- and left with prison shanks and ugly mugs.

Lucien should have installed a kitchen and laundry room, cause now that these women are released to the world, only desperate men marry em.

My best suggestion would be to close your eyes, imagine something prettier, and use a rubber.

That is all.

I dunno. I suppose I have a habit of making them look a tiny bit like me - blonde hair, blue eyes. (with humans that is) It varies a lot though. Just depends on the game. If I have a set character I'll generally try to stay quite loyal to their look.

At first with Fable 2 I would just stick with the natural colour, but after a while I started dying it brown when my morality would leave neutral. It just felt right. With everything else I will just go with whatever looks nice and not too out of place. With stuff like hair I lean toward feminine but practical. Usually just a bit of length (but not too much) or pulled back. Unless it's a man. Older men will often get beards (and younger men too depending) provided it suits the character model. I've just found in a lot of games that a bare face just doesn't seem to suit.

Whatever makes them pleasant on the eyes I suppose. Unless I'm having a laugh or spurn of creativity. haha. There are also some characters I am really proud of and love the look of that, at least by human standards, one probably wouldn't consider pretty. I can't help but think they must be, though.

Isn't it irritating to have different colored eyebrows though? I'm probably just a nitpicker, but characters often appear quite mean if they have ... non existent eyebrows! Although it would probably be okay on the female characters, the male ones look a little bit uhm... ugly? haha. Beards do solve the problem, but you're characters probably wear just a tad bit nicer clothing than mine do! :)

Depending on the game (If I'm allowed creation of the character) I always usually have Long (If shaggy or 'natural' is there, I use that.) hair with either a nice looking beard, goatee, Soul Patch w/ some sort of Moustache.

As for clothing.. If it's an RPG im restricted to using what gives me the best stats right? If it's something like.. Say, Saints Row 2.. I go for a Style that fits me in real life.

Usually one of two types.

An Evil Badass who doesn't give a literal **** about anyone or anything with usual agile clothing (mercenary suit, bandit outfit, assassin).

Or a strong and noble warrior good at heart with bulky armor on. Such as it is with my second Fable III character, wearing a light blue tinted Warrior's armor.

Yes, definitely! I suppose it just depends on how noticeable that is. Somtimes when they're the same colour it's even weirder though.

In Fable 2 I don't recall it really being an issue. I can't remember in Fable 3 but I didn't really dye hair there. I tried, but it looked wrong. (At least lighter colours. Reds and stuff looked ok but I couldn't be bothered and liked the original.) I'd have to go back and check with Fable 2 though. I know the eyebrow thing has really bugged me in the past, but I just can't remember where! Usually it's just something I look past. Most of the time I'm not even looking at their face. If I can't, I'll conform to what the eyebrows demand. haha. Case by case. I don't dye much anyway but if I've wanted to, stuff like that is off-putting. I'm a nitpicker too.

psymon anyone?

You mean... lesbians aren't ridiculously attractive sex hungry 20-29 year olds?? My life is now meaningless.
No, I mean they are penis envying green beans that enjoy menstruating all over the Seattle court house. IT WAS ONE TIME! ONE TIME, AND SHE WAS BENDING OVER! couldn't help myself. Needless to say I now have red hair and drive a large black van allowing quick access to open windows and large drainage pipes.
nnnnnnnnnnnnn

That's.... a bit over the top don't you think?

Well, the fact that it was an actual scandal regarding someone in the Seattle courthouse, yes, and no. Yes because they are not penis envying, no because our previous executive law clerks were both very promiscuous women.

Well, I'm always Argonian when I play Oblivion (sure, they're fugly, but they can breathe underwater so I don't have to wear that stupid ring from the guy in Weye or use potions or wear anything special at all, really) - and I typically wear black. So I always hunt down Shady Sam and murder him so I can have his black hood and then wear black wide trousers (I refuse to call them pants) and dark shirt.

In Fable games I wear whatever makes me look the most stupid - in the first one, it was the outfit from the Bordello. In the second, I think it was a mishmash of male and female attire. In Fable 3, I wear harlequin makeup, tights, hotpants and a frilly shirt as a guy. As a female, I wear nothing because the girls' clothes are not much fun.

In Fallout games I wear clothes tactically but always have a dumb haircut and some stupid-looking accessory if I can find it. My characters never look like me - there are no skins available for bad teeth, bad skin, bad hair and thick glasses. Which is a shame, really...

The argonians are actually pretty cool looking, some are pretty awesome actually. The assasins guild argonians are very agile and they look way cooler than the supposedly realistic humans and elves. I was normaly a dark elf/night elf.. i forget the name! lol. the ones from morrowind. you could just join the guild and get as many black hoods as you want!
it's actually quite funny, i remember in fable 2 there were male hookers that actually appeared like you describe for your fable 3 character.
Falloout? are you joking, bad skin bad hair bad teeth and thick glasses, most of which i'm sure you dont have!!!! are nothiing compared to the mutated pink mess i created. she lives in those towers where she collects alien weaponry and pop cans. she is like 7 feet tall and wears a jump suit bought from the giant ship thing, her eyes look like an iguana and her lips are like angelina jolie's but with a massive case of herpes and acne. it's horrible.. yet funny in a very wrong way!

I try to avoid anything that upgrades your stats in Oblivion so the Dark Brotherhood hoods are sadly out of the question. As far as I know, Shady Sam is the only one who has a black hood without any added bonuses...I just like wearing black in Oblivion for some weird reason.

I also prefer being male - the outfits look better. Although the blacksmith's trousers with leather boots can look pretty good on a female...just a shame you can't cross-dress in Oblivion. That would be cool...
