What if?

But what about Japan?
Hitler never laid out any plans dealing with Japan in Mein Kampf or Zweites Buch. Remember that Hitler formed an alliance with the USSR at the start of the war because it made good sense - I'm guessing it was the same with the Japanese. They don't fit the Aryan mold and their Alliance was more an Alliance of convience than a natural Alliance. It's important to keep in mind they fought pretty seperate battles, and Hitler had no 'real' use for them. After all, his first step was just to carve out an Empire in East Europe. I guess he saw the Japanese as an exploitable force that could be discarded later.
That's quite interesting, however wouldn't the British have denied the opportunity to take part in Hitlers plans?
Yea, which is why we went to war with him :P But in Zweites Buch, Hitler emphasised his want for an alliance with Britain. Neville Chamberlain met frequently with Hitler during the 30's as well, plus gave him alot of room with the Appeasement Policy - Hitler really thought that he could make an alliance with Britain right up until the declaration of war. You have to remember that Britain and Germany are extremely similar, not just through the Empires but through race and ancestry.
I am sad to say I never read Mein Kampf.
An old teacher of mine made an anology between rock and roll and Hitler - the big shows, the lights, the Roman-esque formations made people trance like. At the end of the day, everything Hitler wrote is the biggest load of bullshit ever. And I'm not just saying that because it's racist and evil, it genuinely is pure ****e. He throws in words like, 'YOUTH! BLOOD! HONOR! GERMANY!' And the people lapped it up. If you ever read any of his works out of context, you'll see just how full of ****e he was. But dangerously clever and effective.

well considering my country played chicken for most of the war, we may not have fallen to nazi rule just because of how isolated we are and the lack of accurate long range weaponry at the time. things would certainly be different for the worse, but i don't think i'd have wound up in a nazi concentration camp unless they managed to take control of the US government, in which case my dad would've been ****ed and i probably wouldn't have been born.

there'd be much more poverty, and possibly a WWIII between the german empire and an east asia alliance (possibly with russia) for communism vs fascism.

1945 - Hitler doesn't kill himself.
1950 - Europe conquered by Nazis.
1960 - America conquered.
1970 - Whole planet under Nazi rule.

TWISTER NEVER GETS INVENTED.

I think if Hitler did win then the cold war most likely would still happen, except it would be between Germany and the US instead of the soviet union. After driving allied troops back to the west and invading Russia as He had originally planned. I could imagine the defeat of the Soviet Union to be particulary humiliating on their part, (Stalin and other Communist party leaders being brought to Berlin and paraded in chains.) However although He would have won WW2 His troubles wouldn't be over. There would most likely be constant insurgency within the east, surviving soviets would retreat into forests and mountains disrupting Nazi supply lines to and from Germany's newly found lebensraum. Germany would no-doubt be working on it's own nuclear weapons by the late 1940's, they were already experimenting with atomic energy during WW2 often studying the effects on concentration camp detainees. It would have only been a matter of time before they had atomic bombs of their own. Hitler during WW2 expressed a frequent desire of an attack on the US mainland, however He lacked the means to do so given that Germany's resources were already stretched towards the war in the east. I think eventually after a few years of peace between Germany and the US, and after a period of paranoia and perparation Hitler would eventually make the first move. Not sure if many people know this but Germany did actually send a small group of submarines to a New York harbor. They filmed the nightime city skyline through their periscopes, spooky eh?

With the death of Hitler however, the Nazi regime without it's charismatic leader would most likely crumble by itself. With the main aspect of its cult of personality gone, the regime would probably be torn apart by divison and infighting. With Hitlers death there would definately be a rise in the morale of guerillas and partisans leading to an uprising or two. The nazi reigme would probably start to become more moderate without being stuck to their values by their now absent fuhrer. A lot of Hitlers henchmen were both fanatical and ruthless but I doubt Goering or Himmler etc would have had the same charismatic effect on their followers. Slowly but steadily the regime would fall apart until an eventual collapse. Germany would then most likely begin to open peace talks with the US, (that is of course if Hitler is dead and He hasn't started WW3 by then.)

His main followers (not including his military generals) weren't exactly capable either to be fair though, that and they wouldn't be able to stir up the same loyalty as a leader. Yeah I agree that Hitler was a crappy tactician who damaged the war effort with his literally insane plans, but ultimately the loyalty given by His followers, was given to Him alone. To the most fanatical Nazis Hitler was Germany, Germany was Hitler. Every oath was given to him as an individual priority, before the party. Without Him yes the reigme would end up with a lot more common sense (something Hitler didn't seem to have,) but the cult of personality is gone if you know what I mean.

That and a lot of Hitlers subordinates disliked each other, imagine the amount how dirty work they would resort to in order grab the leader seat after Hitlers death. It would most likely create rivaling factions and instability within the reigme as a whole.

Hitler may not have been ideally Aryan, but he was German and that was close enough in Nazi ideology.
Wasn't he Austrian?

And it wouldn't have made much of a difference if Hitler had been replaced as the people who would have replaced him were just as insane as him and had the same, if not worse, ideologies.
