Re: What is the Aurora?

Guys, roll up a J and settle down.

I think the Middle eastern setting will be very interesting, I think they could put it into connection with the British Empire, which of course during the reign of Queen Victoria, included India.

Re: What is the Aurora?

I've already told you, if you don't pack it in with the fighting, I'll send you to your rooms!

Aurora, shall be cool, just think about it, something new! They say a change is as good as a rest and I think this will be true for a brand new continent. think about it, your hero could go to get a tan!

Re: What is the Aurora?

I'm going to try and speak cyber gangster to these kids: "Homie, yo Fable III and shiz is dope no matta wat, its hood. But y'all gotta learn to respect ya boyz opinions mang.. We don't like no beefin' in our own gang.. So when dem Halo fan boyz be attackin we be all united up in this Biutch. Yo homies i aint frontin' but my bro KarmasB!ch jus saying an opinion and the boi aint dissin' no one.. the player aint goin' i wanna a pop a cap in some arabics, he sayin' i don't think arabic architecture got da bling! Also KB you gotta learn to know ya street knowledge, since back in da dayz, Iran weren't no war torn hood, and yo not everyting arabic is like dat wack ass game Prince of Persia. Also my gangsta's remember dat drugs is bad son! Get crunk and stay fresh gang! Word?"

I think KB was trying to say though was that of his knowledge he didn't like Arabic architecture, he never said he hated the people or the culture in general.

You know, Knothole Glade was based on ancient Ireland.

Woot.. I think Westcliff in Fable II was meant to be a stereotype of what the British thought of the Irish.
When they bring in Americas continent Gangs of New York should definitely be an influence

Re: What is the Aurora?

I hope it's not middle east, isn't that basically Samarkand? I imagine Aurora as a lucious rainforest, from the name. Not that I'm against middle eastern folks, I'm just sayuing if you want middle eastern, let the Hero go to Samarkand.

I'm British and I definately don't think Westcliff is like Ireland....
I agree that Knothole Glade is based off old Celtic design and such, but Westcliff doesn't really carry that through...

Samarkand is akin to Africa, the pics of Aurora now look very interesting though.

Re: What is the Aurora?

^ I haven't seen any pics of Aurora, can you give me a link?

Re: What is the Aurora?

Odd.. Always threw me for a loop in FII how they used real place names for in game content. Albion was the eldest recorded name for England, and Samarkand is still very much a real place as well. It's hard for me to prize the game context away from real life context, especially since I've been to both :D.

Not necessarily now but around the time in the real world Fable II was set.. I read in some interview with Peter Molyneux

Re: What is the Aurora?

Aurora=Latin for Dawn
Dawn=before sunrise

to orient=to locate a place.
In past times before oriented themselfes by looking at where the sun rises (and other ways ofcourse). From the point of view from europe, the sun rises in the east, that's why the east is called the Orients.

So my theorie: Aurora, where the sun rises, is the equivalent of the East. Sounds logic?

What kind of enemies and mosters do you expect to find in aurora? i've seen some enemies with weird armor in the first dev diary in aurorian area.

Re: What is the Aurora?

From what I've heard so far is that Aurora is like a desert-ish place that resembles the Middle East. Is that true?????? And please provide a link. :D
