Black, hard, heavy, unnatural almost-metallic material. Something much similar to hardened lava.

Obsidian is also a powerful type of weapon in many RPGs, similar to a Mithril weapon with is also common in RPGs.

a blunt metal object aka a hammer and break a flat stone if you hit it right, so I guess obsidian most be this very dangerous but fragile weapon?

Obsidian is a naturally occurring glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools without crystal growth. Obsidian is commonly found within the margins of rhyolitic lava flows known as obsidian flows, where the chemical composition (high silica content) induces a high viscosity and polymerisation degree of the lava. The inhibition of atomic diffusion through this highly viscous and polymerized lava explains the lack of crystal growth. Because of the lack of crystal structure, obsidian blade edges can reach almost molecular thinness, leading to its ancient use as projectile points, and its modern use as surgical scalpel blades.

So see, it will be just as durable as metalic blades, and most definitely sharper.

Yeah same here, I have this friend with whom I can disguess the most **** up things with, we once talked for 6 hours about ecko and how brands copy each others designs

That's what I was thinking. lol.
I've had those classes since like 5th grade, and it's always been the same shizz, igneous rocks, rock formations, chemical compositions, and shizz like that. Funny thing is, it's most likely My fav subject, aside from history, or eng lit.

Well thanx everyone. I mean I know (to me) useless stuff about the world, but it's good to help other learn I suppose, even if I did cheat and use wiki so I wouldn't have to type all that lol.
