American is just a brutalized form of English... You can't write/type American really, unless you decide use color instead of colour and all that....

Most people 'round here say colah, amah and honah I guess they think they need to free up some 'R' s so that Southerners can put them in words where they don't belong like winder(window) and potater(potato)

I use color armor and honor. I just checked the OED and they have spelling both ways

Which is why the whole artsy world is so confusing to me. I am probably just stuck with old-school thoughts. To me, art died when the "Masters", Claude Monet to mention one, died.

Art will never again be what it was, now it is...junk.
