My Friend doesn't know what a forum is can you guys tell him I suck at explaining... He thinks its just like a chatroom but not live....

Lol... He said he wouldn;t join because "It consumes your time and is just a big chat room" So I told him 'If I proved to you it wasn't a chat room will you join' he said "Maybe"...

It's only a chat room if you allow it to be one and we have specific areas for people to chat about nonsense. Otherwise, he can post in areas that relate to a specific topic and must stay on topic, unlike a chat room where anyone can jump in and go off tangent with many others at the same time. We don't allow that here and it isn't possible to get involved in 8 conversations at once because of our rules.

My Friend Posting: I kinda get it now how its not like a chat room but what is the point really? I mean all you do is talk about fable doesn't that get boring? Yeah it's a cool game but after a while there would be like nothing to talk about and if there was it would get boring...

If he is going to question the forums and call them wastes of time and just chatrooms, then why does it really matter to him? It's not like he has to join...

IF you wanna join then please do - if not, then perhaps look for a forum that is more diverse to suit your tastes?

I want to know this so I dont join and post for a few days or so then get bored and quit...

Perhaps if he questions it so much and makes his own opinions about how much of a waste of time it is, he should test his theories. Whip him up an account and have him see firsthand what the community is like. If he still thinks it's a waste, then he doesn't have to have anything to do with it. Simple enough.

Excellent idea Darg - and he is not offending anyone - and anyone who is offended is clearly too temperamental :lol:

This forum is just over a year old now and yes, we've talked Fable to death but somehow we still manage to talk more and more about it - and don't forget that once Fable 2 comes out, we'll probably have a surge of interest from new members and then there'll be plenty to talk about.

I take up space - who cares? Join up!

I never get bored. It's just my tastes to enjoy Fable and plus I just like the people on the site. Hey, I like half of them better than people I see every day! It depends on whether or not he actually likes Fable and talking about it. Everybody's different.
