Metal Gear Solid 4... and imo Fable II will never be as good or compelling as the MGS series

I suppose the last game I was really this excited about had to have been...

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

Aside from that, I've never really been this excited for a game release,.

Lets see. I was really excited about Final Fantasy IX and FFX. Really excited about Halo 3 and Assassins Creed (fun as hell but got old). UUmmm.... NHL09 (Huge hockey fan). But honestly, I've never been this excited for a game. I've been waiting for this coming tuesday for about five years or so? (I think it's been that long since Fable 1)

Can I just have my game now please? :D

never. seriously i mean never. i never really looked for good games i just found them on the shelf at best buy or gamestop and i never thought they'd come out with a sequal!

NOT trying to sound argumentative, on any level. And I'll respect whatever answer I get. But I have to ask because I can't imagine it...how can you compare Fable 2 to the MGS series? They're nothing alike, right? of COURSE that doesn't mean your statement is invalid, I just wonder what kind of thinking leads to any comparison between the two series.

And on another note, how IS MGS4? I think it looks awesome man. But I don't care for the MGS games too much myself. Or the PS3 for that matter. but MGS4 looks godly, godly, godly!

And to clarify my first question, I'm not asking how you can compare excitement for the MGS seres VS the Fable series, that would contradict my entire thread. So with that clarification hopefully my question makes sense? If it doesn't just dismiss me as a stoner. :D

i would probably say mass effect, gta 4, spore but most new games have a common weakness of being to short which is annoying. Its like they focused too much on making the game look really nice. Or is that just me that thinks that?

I think I'm gonna go ahead and just dismiss myself as a stoner. I guess a better question is how is the MGS series more compelling. I just fail to see this in every way and would love to know your answer. Is that statement just based on a preference for the type of game that MGS4 is? What am I missing? :):)

halo 3 would be the closest thing but im more excited for fable than i was for halo 3

For me, I haven't played a new game in a while... I still play FF7 like every other day.

same time i got excited about Fable 2, i got excited about fallout 3.
But probably GTA IV from further back

ive never been this excited. i have had money set aside for fable 2 since before i even had a 360.

Definitely Twilight Princess, that was great.
I never liked Wind Waker, although as a die hard Zelda fan I had to get the Gamecube just for it. And I also got the Wii just for that sole reason as well, but found many great and amusing games for the Wii, ya can't fault it.

Also I think I was really excited about Eternal Sonata, that game is amazing; I cried so hard at that stupid ending!

When I got my Nintendo, I dreamed Of Mario Brothers.:P When I got my xbox, I dreamed of Kotor Knights, Then I got my 360, after gamecube, and I dreamed of Star Wars Battlefront, and TLC. But Fable 2 has to be the strongest want of all, with all the news, and shows, and videos, etc. We've been brainwashed.:O But I don't care, I just want it.:P

Either.. Mario Party on the N64 or.. Team Buddies on PS1 .. Doubt any of you know that game..
