My favorite is when Hobbes see me coming and just kill themselves (seriously, they leap off ledges and stuff).

Banshees and their little ankle biters. I use the Rising Sun or the Daichi, depending on my mood. Take care of the spawn with a fire spell.

i like decapitating elder hollow men, cuz they still live but they are blind and attack randomly. also i like highwaymen, bandits, civiliands, guards, and spire guards cuz they bleed and can decapitate ez (with my red dragon of course)

also like using my daichi against hobbes

i h8 spire comandants though, they block against your weapon, and when you try to flourish they either force push or spike u throwing ur flourish off, and when you try to pistol them they dodge your bullets. they are a real pain

Against the Commandants, use Clockwork or Turret weapons while in zoom. You should fire fast enough to get most shots in before he spikes you. Also, for melee combat, using targeted Time Control to get behind them works beautifully.

Hollowmen are oddly satisfying to kill - I think it's when their little heads pop off when I use shock or inferno...

Actually, inferno on anyone is fun - just seeing the smoke pouring off their little crispy corpses...mmm....

Shock is awesome since it leaves charred skeletons as corpses.

To answer your question, you probably wouldn't notice a difference if you used a Master Clockwork instead of the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon is a clockwork, and since a clockwork pistol uses clips full of a bullets-- the second it takes to reload is hardly note worthy. Especially if you have level 3 Brutal Styles and can do the instant reload technique.

That said, I recommend the Master Flintlock. It's the most powerful pistol in the game, and you can make it even more powerful.

Well, flintlock pistols reload after every shot, and a clockwork fires six then reloads. So using a flintlock pistol will suck because you reload after every shot making it terrible. Heres the math. A master flintlock pistol takes .65 secs to reload, so for 12 rounds it takes 7.8 secs. slow. A clockwork on the other hand fires 6 from 1 clip and takes .65 secs to reload so thats a hell of alot more shots from a clockwork, making the damage difference insignificent. And i thought the red dragon was a turret?

Nah, turret guns have multiple barrels. Which is why each one needs to be reloaded individually. Clockworks use a clip.

The Master Flintlock's bullets are worth more. You only need ONE shot to kill anything with the augmented MF if you headshot with it. Using its superior stopping power you can drop anything-- Elite Guards, Assassins (Upgraded Highwaymen), Large Balverines, and even the incredibly durable Spire Soldiers (if you zoom just the tiniest bit on the Soldiers.)

One shot. One kill.

I prefer that. Feels more professional.

If you're dead set on using a clockwork you may as well just empty the clip into your enemy's chest because the headshots will be too weak kill them in one go.

The flintlock reloads SO fast that you won't ever even notice that it's reloading. You always have a bullet. You can't ever not shoot, and you can rapid fire just like a clockwork using the Brutal Styles level 3 instant reload. So, all in all, flintlock wins.

You have one exact point. I've mentioned that flintlocks are best used with trick shots, since they have the "oomph" to pull through. Best of luck getting a full zoom on Spire Soldiers, they must ignore you like the plague.

But targeting individual heads when 5 or 6 are coming straight after you, then it's time to pull out the clockwork. Loading so many rounds in them so fast they fall before they come close to you. There's no worrying about targeting or such, just let the bullets do their work. With that flintlock, if you fail the trick reload, then you just wasted time, and there the enemy gets the drop on you.

:hmm: I've never had any problems zooming Spire Soldiers. If you really can't get a bead on them, you can always use Raise Dead. It distracts them so much that they don't even bullet dodge at the closest of ranges.

It's possible to fail the trick reload? :O

If you use a crappy gun it will do crappy damage, it doesn't matter if its flintlock or clockwork. The Red Dragon is a clockwork pistol and kills almost anything with one headshot (Balverines and Banshees take 2 shots, but they also take 2 shots from the Enforcer, so...). Plus it can fire 12 shots with only one pause to reload in the middle.

Damage over time >>> damage from a single shot.

I Think That The Red Dragon Is Over Rated, Not Because I Cant Get It ^_^ The Master Flintlock Pistol Reloads Faster. Yeah It Doesnt Have The Augments But If You Get Some It Can Be Better Than The Red Dragon?

i like to toy with them by disarming them again and again and again and hear all the things they yell at you for doing that. then i blow their heads off when im done playing with em.

i like the red dragon. thats all im gonna say about that.

While it is against my policy of awesomeness to disagree with stand up individuals such as yourself ;) I'm afraid I must disagree.

The master flintlock kills Balverines (The huge ones) in one headshot.

More damage means it takes less shots to kill things. Even without headshots.

One or two super powerful shots >>> Four or five weak shots.

If people keep insisting that the Red Dragon or clockworks in general are better than the flintlock (which is just madness) then I will have to devise some kind of experiment to prove them wrong. For their own good, of course.

I personally love Banshees, nothing better than the ear piercing scream they have when you 'clock them in the head.

probably a balverine , or hollowmen by blasting them with my "enforcer" or by hitting them with a pistol so much they dont have a chance to move

It's also fun to kill bandits, use flourish so they fall then finish them on the ground.
