You can choose who you play with in online games if you host and select private invite slots - COD4 is slightly different in that in a lot of the games you will have to face off against a random team of other people but your own team can be made up of people you know and you can always mute the idiots.

It's why my favourite online game is Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 doing the terrorist hunt with three other friends online. I've met them through playing the game and so always invite them coz I know the standard to which they play and they prefer to do it properly rather than blow their team up. Plus, as the host, I have the power to kick players who are doing my head in

You can Host a game? I'll have to look into that. I have a few friends who I can trust, but the idea some idiot, is waiting to snipe you, over and over, isn't appealing to me. Also the other thing I've heard about in halo 3. I can't say it.:blush:
Is the Rainbow game a good game? Is it a RPG?
I wish they had a new Star Wars Battlefront game. I love that game. It went to playstation, instead of the 360. I bet they lost a lot of sales, because of that.:O I couldn't believe that happened.

Rainbow is a shooter - with both a campaign mode and terrorist hunting along with the options of online play. I'm not a big fan of shooters but I like it a lot mainly because you are up against AI and not people who can exploit glitches or cheat.

And are you referring to the common practice of "teabagging" by any chance? It's primarily a Halo 3 thing but there are still some who do it in COD4 - or make full, erm, use of the going prone function...never met anyone in Rainbow who does it though.

Snipers annoy me - unless I'm the sniper of course - because they tend to be the people who go mental when you kill them with a rocket launcher or a n00b tube (grenade launcher) but are just as bad because they sit at a distance and just pick people off one by one, avoiding any conflict or risk of injury. At least n00b tubers get stuck in to some degree...

That's what I don't like are cowards who just snipe people off. :realmad:
Grenade launcher, funny. I'd rather play against npc's than real people. Unfortunately there aren't enough games, that are like Fable, except Mass Effect has a nice storyline, but is to short. You can't go back and finish assignments, once the game ends. And it's not online.
I think they need to figure out how to fix this, with the people that don't play fair. Until they do, they will keep losing their players online. Either that, or make a lot of games like Vegas game play, or Fable 2. Those both are new, maybe they are? Meanwhile, I won't buy a game, unless I can play it all the way through single player.

Just get a party of all friends to take up the maximum party size...then it's just you and your friends...

jeah i was very confused too i just was playing and playing and playing and i had so much luck lol like i got 25 kills and i got killed 1 time in each game i played

Sniping in COD 4 takes skill, patience and some maps make it a great advantage. Snipers are as much as risk as anyone in some maps and game modes so its quite well balanced.

its true in CoD 4 you haven't got rlly big maps so its hard to snipe
if you want a too snipe much try BF Bad company
there is 1 lvl its like a big farm place with different farms and when you stand in some bushes nobody can see you and it is like 1,2,3 headshot... 1,2,3 headshot... everybody runs past you
