When is a Bartender Job Available?

I'm on my second playthrough and I just did the Hero of Strength quest, and I was told that after that if you slept for a couple weeks you would eventually be able to get a job as a bartender. I tried that and still nothing, I forgot how far I was in the game until I could be a bartender the first time I beat it. Can anyone help?

The bartended quest came up around the time you go to find Garth. Once you've gone to get the hero of will, it should open up.

You can also sleep for 7 days and see if it comes up
