There are really only 3 games that I would think would have the closest spot to winning the title:
--Fable 2--
--Fallout 3--
--Gears 2(even though I hate Gears for some reason)--
...any I'm leaving out?...

I think that fable might be in the running but i dont think it is good enough to make GOTY

Fable 2 just feels really dated. I can't imagine it wining game of the year. Maybe Farcry 2, or Fallout 3 though.

while i would say it is up there... i think it will get nominated... i dont think it will win... not with all the games that have come out this year...

...super smash bros(they will have to nominate a wii game to not seem biased)

honestly... if your talking about the spike game of the year.... i think they dont want to come off as biased so they will nominate

...no idea who will win... probably gta 4... not beacuse its better but because its multiplatform and unlike fallout 3 there isnt that much of a difference between 360 and ps3 version... major bugs have been reported on the ps3 port of fallout

MGS4 is to ridiculous to be considered. There is more cut scene time than play time.
GTA4 is shadowed by it's predecessors.
Gears is a maybe.
Little big planet is maybe.
Resistance 2 is.... no. >_>
Dead Space was nothing original, and felt repetitive.
Fallout 3 I'm not sure about, I've yet to have a chance to play it.
SSBB has a chance.
Fable 2 should not be considered. It has far to many flaws and was clearly released before it should have been.
