Wisdom Teeth

Mine doesn't bother me. I have enough space for all teeth.

One of my best friends is like that. I'm quite envious right now.

You old man ;)

What, old for having my wisdom teeth removed? Yea, my teeth have always grown in late. I got my first tooth at around...13 months? Somewhere around there.

Dentists tend to dislike them because they are so far back it's very hard to clean them.

I suppose, but it's mostly that if you leave them alone in certain people, some bad stuff can happen like infection because they don't always grow in right. Also, like in my case, letting wisdom teeth grow in can shift the rest of your teeth, thereby undoing everything that braces have done.

There's a bit of good news here though: wisdom teeth never developed on my right side, so it's only the left that's bothersome. Hopefully I'll be able to eat normally in a few days, if only with my right side.

Need to have mine out, they're impacted. And they hurt like hell and I can't eat chocolate anymore. :(

You can now.

If only Hershey's didn't taste so much like wax... :troll:

My wisdom teeth bother me from time to time when they shift stuff around but otherwise not a problem. I've only got 24 teeth anyway thanks to loads of unnecessary extractions as a kid in order to "make room" in my mouth. For what, exactly? Elephants? Nuclear weapons? The entire army of North Korea? Dentists in the 90's are mental...

I have one which came through years ago, has a flap of gum over it but doesnt cause me problems really. Did get a nasty infection once though and could barely open my mouth. Got another coming through at opposite side at top now and seems really high up. Not causing any issues yet but really aches sometimes.

I got to spend my entire winter break on the couch eating pudding and zonked out on percocet.

Percocet? Really? That seems pretty strong for just having your wisdom teeth out. I didn't want to mess around with any kind of stuff like that. I even turned down vicodin when the doctor asked what I wanted, so I just got some extra strength ibuprofen.

Co-Codamol, I never take pain killers for anything but when I tore muscles and after some bad injuries this stuff has been a god send.

A friend of mine just told me about how he got hooked on some painkillers almost immediately after taking them. Then he had some insane withdrawal symptoms when he realized he was addicted to them. He was even taking the recommended dose for his prescription. I just don't want to even risk that.
