Wonderful Weird Behaviour.

Does anyone here have a special quirk, something that they do that others consider to be weird and odd?

For example: I do this thing where as I talk I'll switch between different accents and voices. For comical reasons mostly. I also tend to mock other people, usually in a voice they don't even have. I've been told that it makes me seem rather eccentric but in a good way, apparently. It's something my mother does too, but I just think she's copying me.

I also break into song, randomly. Much like in movies but minus the music in the background. The music is all in my head, you see. For a while, when someone said a line from a song mid-speech that I could recognise, I'd suddenly start singing that song. I've stopped doing that now. It started to annoy me more than anything.

This is a small thing but, I can't sleep without a light on. I'm not afraid of the dark. I can quite happily walk about the house at night and feel fine. I just can't sleep without a light on. It's something many people seem to find odd, mainly as I can't explain why I do this.

I do a lot of other weird things, but they're not really worth mentioning. I look insane enough as it is.

Ok. Enough of me looking crazy. It's everyone else's turn now. So... do you do anything considered frickin' weird?

I hum a lot, and I too also speak in different tones of my voice when speaking.. I've been often told that I have the voice fit for a cartoon character (hmm..). I have a bad habit of spitting a lot when I'm outside for some reason, I don't know why I do it, but I just get this frequent urge to do it... needless to say, most folks don't like it.

I'm quite perverted.. but you already knew that.

I often ramble in person, changing the subject of everyday conversations into something surreal and ridiculous. When that happens many people are left with little to say and consequently forget about what it is we were just talking about. I crack my knuckles and other joints often, I tap my feet, wobble my right knee side-to-side when sitting, and I make odd little noises with my mouth that just generally tend to **** people off.

Maybe it's due to my ADHD, but I just really can't help these things I do. Some like it though, but most don't.

I've had a tic that everything I 'sense' must be symmetrical. If I accidentally bumped my right hand into something, I had to feel it with my left hand as well. If a major object was in the far left of my field of sight and I blinked while it was there, I had to turn to place it in the far right of my field of sight and blink again. Other people thought I was crazy, but they didn't know the hell I was going through! But it was only when I thought about that I had that tic, that it was active. Now I have it more or less under control and can ignore it if something's off. But sometimes I still have to do it.

Oh, and I think/talk way too much/far about stuff nobody cares about, simply because it bugs my mind and I'm pretty anallytical (l's?). It's nice though, that my best friend is very much like me (though, less weird and more cool) and can actually see where I'm coming from. He laughs at odd things I thought about and gives his insight into certain matters.

Oh, and there's this thing where I'm conspiring to take over the world, but that's more voluntarily.

I have obsessive compulsive disorder, so yeah I'm always cleaning, making things in order, checking windows and doors are locked even though I know they are and I already did that like four times, when out I check I have my wallet keys and other things and check my satchel is closed like every four minutes. Among others things.

I do break into song and weird stuff too, like I'll just start using advert quotes out of the blue 'Hello I am Van Damme, my pants fronze! And hard!' 'Go comparreee!' that kind of junk. I also stroke my beard way too much, makes me look like I'm plotting something evil and sinister.

So am I a weirdo yet?

I have a constant urge to look around a lot during conversation, mostly because of paranoia. I often cuddle people (In a non-sexual way, mind you) because it comforts me and it is my weird, quirky way to say "I care about your feelings and what you think of me." I seem to switch the way I walk depending on the situation, I have been told that in large groups I slump my shoulders and walk slowly, I have observed that when I am in small groups I am very bouncy and nimble, often speed walking and hopping around, I have also seen that when I am not with friends I seem to create a swinging stride.

Also same, but I am actually scared of the dark... when I walk around in the dark I keep imagining Frank from Donnie Darko and a generic scary clown everywhere :ermm:

I sleep with the blinds open, because yeah slight darkness phobia also like to be able to see so I don't fall over anything, but this always leads to the window cleaner problem.....

I find it's also impossible for me to sleep without the fan on and soft music playing.. I just can't sleep to absolute silence.

I tend to voice most of my thoughts vocally. Ever watch Doctor Who? David Tennant's Doctor?

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. My friends think it's hilarious, I don't even realize I'm doing it most of the time.

I stare over peoples shoulders when they talk to me because I think eye contact is taboo. I also refuse to carry my wallet in my back pocket because I feel like I'm being molested.

There are a lot of small weird things that I do every day that I never even think about, so I can't remember most of them right now. However, one of them that whenever I'm eating or drinking something, I have to put every bite or gulp under my tongue before I swallow it.

I also tend to recite lines from video game cutscenes while I'm playing. Most of the time I do this, I'm playing Fable.

I do that too, but only because it's uncomfortable when I sit down.

I can't stand to have things pointed at me: Pencils, remotes, food, you name it. If it's laying there on a table I will deliberately shift it slightly to the side so that it isn't pointing my way.

Well, it seems that everyone who plays guitar regularly (almost) always has a pick with them. So it's not that weird .

But they carry it around on the off chance they need to play guitar and they don't have a pick. I carry one wherever I go, even if I know that I'm definitely not going to need it.
