There's been a lot of great games in history, but there's also some really bad ones. I'm tempted to say Superman 64 was the worst I've ever played in my time.. but then I get flashbacks of being a kid in the 80s and getting my hands dirty with E.T. for the Atari 2600.

There's nothing like watching the classic Spielberg film for the first time and having your mind filled with wonder and amazement, then heading to your friend's house and playing the travesty that is the movie-based game that had been lying around. "..WHAT THE F*** IS THIS?..." It was as if someone took a massive diarrhea dump on the newest addition of my childhood joys, all in the span of but a few hours.

What about you guys? What abominations of virtual entertainment have you experienced in your life?

Mine probably is Superman 64. I was prepubescent when I decided to rent it. At that age, I would give anything a MORE than fair chance. I just enjoyed playing on my N64 so much that it took a particularly challenging boss fight (or the water temple) to stump me and make me want to play something else. I spent HOURS flying through those stupid rings perfectly so Lex Luthors evil plot of littering the airspace of metropolis with weightless hoola hoops (the only evil plot that would really justify anything in that game) would be foiled. It's seared into my memory, but I would get to that section where you have to save a car from an accident by plowing it over and fail every time only to go BACK TO THE START OF THE ****ING HOOLA HOOPS.

Safe to say we took it back the next day. If not the worst game I ever played, definitely the worst game I ever gave the time of day to try and progress through.

Hard to argue against a game that became a landfill.

I'm not sure I've ever played a game that I considered to be bad aside from some random GBA games from a long time ago that I don't really remember. I mean, sure, there are games that I don't really enjoy playing like Halo or Call of Duty, but it's not because they're bad. I just don't enjoy shooters very much.

This thread made me feel like getting nostalgic, so I went and looked up a Let's Play Superman 64.
The guy's got some weird fascination with it and is more or less pro. He does a pretty sweet glitch count throughout the game (on level 5 and the glitch count is currently in the lower 20's) and he did a **** load of research on the history of the game and it's developer.

Favorite moment so far: He gets killed during the victory screen on the second level. Despite beating it, his death made the game start him over at the beginning of the level where the game froze at the mission briefing. No, he didn't make you watch a second playthrough.

Fun fact: the game is so bad because DC Comics was so anal about creative control that virtually none of the games original plans were able to be carried out (nor can they be disclosed to this very day). The reason the plot is something about Lex Luthors evil alternate dimension is because Superman wasn't allowed to kill real people according to DC.

EDIT: 5th stage beaten, glitch count 30
6th stage has yet to be uploaded :(

two worlds and dark messiah might and magic

dark messiah might and magic > friend said it was like oblivion but better, friend is an idiot

two worlds > has kit rae's swords in it which i collect irl, thought that would be an awesome game, watch demos and the whole 9 yards. got it, glitched my way to a really high lvl area that i was not allowed to get to, killed a really high lvl dragon looking thing by useing the ol' hit and run tactic. droped **** all for loot, then died on the way to a town via bear.

Two worlds and Risen (xbox pc is a lot better) they were both just god awfull TES want to be's.
