I haven't been divorced once. I only play good though, and drop by in between quests, and give gifts, what they want. By the time I move them into the palace, they are gone anyway.:lol: Then I stay single for the rest of the game.

I did get divorced, the bitch. I took a Gypsy to Oakfield and married her in front of the Demon Door just about as soon as I got to Oakfield, then she dumped me because I was away too long doing the Crucible. ****ed me off so much. Especially since she didn't leave the Demon Door quickly enough so I sat there trying to change her mind; thinking that might work, gave her a bunch of crap; got her back to "happy" and then as soon as I turned my back on her she disappeared.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the usual reason they dump you. You didn't visit enough. If you visit enough you can make up for everything else, I'm pretty sure-- like a ****ty house or bad upkeep.

I just got the game and havn't had a lot of time to play, but after reading these forms today, I am ITCHING to get some time off. Any tips on WHEN you should get married? Is it ever too early or too late? Does it make a differance?

The maraige system from fable was better jeez.

First off you get extra pionts for sacrificing your spouse, so id get a wife in bowerstone and bring her to the temple. Each time i brought a wife to the temple shed want to give me agift WTF??? then id kill her. I got the weapon really fast cuz i sacrificed agillion wives that way it tewk less than an hour.

So then i want the bigamist achievement. So i make a chick fall inlove with me infront of my wife, Then i marry her! I have two wives living in houses that are right next to each other. Each time they come out they see each other and have a fight over who im married to then one goes inside and the other wants to give me a gift.WTF!!! And just now i had sex with one of them with the other in the rewm. niether are divorcing me and they are both fully inlove with me and i dont do anything for them.
yahhhhp this game was glued and ductaped together, figurativley speaking. I think im going to have like 50 wives in bowerstone market for the hell of it lawls.

The sad thing is that when you do everything right they end up leaving you anyway. I have yet to maintain a wife through a whole game and I try very hard to do so. I had the perfect wife, she loved bowerstone clock tower, I bought a house right beside it and she loved the house. I would bring her the gifts she likes and give them to her in front of the tower. I would visit after every mission/job etc. When she finally did divorce me, I had just been to see her, went to do a slave rescue. While I was doing the slave rescue I checked and everything was fine, house was very happy, upkeep was very happy, relationship was happy. I get back into town and I go to see her, and she is divorcing me.... wtf! So I reload, right after the end of the slave rescue, port back to town, check family, it says everything is happy or better and she wants sex, by the time I get to the house she is divorcing me..... it makes no sense. This happens a lot. So I got fed up. RIght before finishing the story and taking reavers passage, I married 5 women in Bloodstyone put them all in houses right by each other, had a kid with each of them, all in about 20 minutes. They kept giving me gifts, they would fight in each others houses. They all still loved me, I even got two of them into bed at once by using good timing. *spoiler************I figured I wasn't going to pick love at the end anyway so might as well make Lucien work to kill my family!

Is it me or are all the husbands / wives a bit demanding? Here I am slaving my butt off for them to enjoy the last futile moments of their existence and than one has the nerve to ask 'oh you've been gone so long' when all I've done is spent a day at forge on the opposite side of the square... Even had the nerve to ask me what was for dinner so I slapped him and died, and that was another 500 gold done the toilet.

I've pretty much decided from this moment on, I shall be spouse free, unless it's Bloodstone orgy night...

Haha, my brother made an obscene, morbidly obese character and decided he was going to marry the first person he saw on the streets after finding a crappy ring somewhere. It just so turned out it was a beggar, so they got engaged, and in the process of trying to "acquire" a house for the two of them, he managed to kill everyone in town and run his future wife off. Smooth move. My advice- always get a spouse with low expectations, like a gypsy or yes, even beggar if you're so inclined. Same advice doesn't always apply in real life I imagine.
