Right so I don't really know where to post this, ive been out of the loop for a bit, but I decided to post it where it might get seen.

Anyways apparently my Xbox 360 is the faultiest piece of **** ever made by man. I have been trying to play halo reach online and every 30 minutes my xbox takes a ****. 2 red lights start flashing, the controller vibrates and I unplug it and plug it back in to recieve an overheating message. Well what the ****? The xbox isnt even hot, I could scoop some ice cream on the thing and eat off it and not worry about the ice cream melting. The xbox is on my hard wood floor, on its side to let the major air vent, vent. And I have one of those intercooler or whatever piece of **** fans I bought for 40 bucks.

I can't send it in, my warranty ran out, and even if I did still have the warranty theyd probably have it for months and never fix the thing. Anybody have any sort of solution for me? Ive tried a fan, vacuming all the dust out of my xbox and nothing has worked thus far.

Certain intercoolers have been known to actually cause issues instead of preventing them as they tax the power outlet on the 360 and make it hot inside. In some cases the intercoolers have melted to the back of the 360. Register for repair on Xbox.com and enter your serial number and the fault and they still might fix it for free as mine was out of warranty when i got the RROD but i still had it repaired for free.

^ what he said. i had entered mine at http://www.xbox.com/support not several months ago and they repaired my 5 year old xbox. well... they didn't exactly repair it. they had a look at it, realized it was totally f***ed, and sent me a refurbished one with a free month of live. worth trying, yea?

Swearing like an inmate doesn't really help you. If you want help, at least try to come across as a respectable and polite person.
