Xbox could yet support Blu-Ray
If any one questioned Microsoft's decision to Not include the HD-DVD drive as an internal component This is why. If HD-DVD fail MS gets an external Blu-Ray drive but if Blu-Ray Fails what is Sony going to do? I heard a rumor that they are already working on a larger capacity HD-DVD of 50GB and 100GB dual sided but I can't find it now.
HD-DVD advantage is Price for value you don't need the extra disc space to fit a high def movie or a high def game today. so why pay extra? However if the "war" continues the costs are going to start to become closer and then why wouldn't get the extra space especially if the movies and games keep going up in size.
Imagine how long it would take to develop a game that requires more than the 15-30GB that you can fit on an HD-DVD
