Xbox Live connection failure.

Xbox Live connection failure.

I got my 360 Pro last night, and I tried to connect to XBL. However, I got an error message saying "Cannot detect network hardware" and "If wireless, make sure your Network Adapter is connected to your console."

What is a Network Adapter, and how much is it?

I set connection to automatic.

Are you trying to connect it with a wireless connection or an ethernet cable? If you are trying to use Wireless you need a wireless adapter for the 360 to pick up your routers wireless.

Yeah, I'm trying to do wireless.

So how much is it at GameStop? Or is it not at GameStop?

Why don't ya google this stuff?

Automatic doesn't work for me, I have to manually put in the iP Address, etc. Try that.

Well if you don't have a network adaptor how do you expect your xbox to pick up a signal? :P

Damn you Microsoft, having to make us buy an Adapter unlike Nintendo!

Your gonna need to get a wireless adapter like I did. Its about $100, but its easy to use. Just put in the security codes for your router, and you should be set.

They use Wi-Fi and how many people do you know that use it? Out of everyone i know about 2 actually knew you could play online on the Wii.

Wow, and I thought that thing was overpriced in denmark... I found one to $80 but I rather have the cable that came with my xbox run across the floor

Cable is more reliable and less likely to lag so the better option in my opinion. My cable was 'acquired' from work... :shifty:
