[Youtube] Rant.

First thread, needed to rant a bit about Youtube.

I've had an account there for quite a while now, but seeing as I like to refresh I figured I'd make a new account.

In the 'old' days you just stuff some information in the required field and you'd be done after activating using your e-mail,
And that's not how it went this time, after pressing; Create Account, I was redirected to Google and they were kindly asking me for my cellphone number to send me a validation text message..

Who here thinks that this is extremely annoying?
I hardly use my cellphone because I actually visit people and if I'm not able to do that I just use my home-phone.

Anyhow, bit annoyed now, because there is no way I'm going to give Google my Cellphone number and now I can not create a new Youtube account.

This is my rant, criticism and positive reactions appreciated.

That's strange, I've made three new acounts in the last three weeks and I didn't have to do anything like that.

Sure you just didn't click something up that said like "Update my youtube on my phone" or something like that?
