Define "fixed." I mean, there was already the upgrade that increased your scan speed. Did they increase it even more?
Local Cluster, Sol System. Yeah. Well, then, I can't really say. Clusters and all vary wildly in size. There are 22 of them, though, according to the wiki.
...Why? The only point to the resources is to pay for upgrades. After you've beaten most of the game, what do you need upgrades for? Well, okay, you'll probably get a bonus in Mass Effect 3 for importing a character, same as you did from ME1, but still. That is so damn boring.

Also, just to make sure we're on the same page. When you say "system," you do mean, "solar system," yes?
And what do you mean by "done everything else?" Do you mean you beat the game and are now running around just scanning? I really hope not.
There are. I counted from the wiki. You don't currently have access to all of them if you're only scanning and doing N7 missions. More show up on the galaxy map the longer you play.
Okay, fine, let's say I agree that it doesn't take so long: it's ****ing boring. The "Einstein anecdotal school of relativity." It's so ****ing boring it SEEMS like it takes weeks.
And if I may ask... how long did it take you to do five systems? These messages are over the span of a day. So, five systems in a day out of almost 70? And 70/5=14. So, 14 days or so. Sounds like two weeks to get all the systems scanned, unless you specifically do nothing but scan.
So, my wild exaggeration was accurate on the low end.

No. What I said was that to scan EVERY planet down to "resources depleted" would take weeks or months. Because you can scan every planet in every system.
And it doesn't take 5-10 minutes. It's more like fifteen minutes per planet, or I thought so.
No problem. I wasn't preparing for today, I've got to leave in a bit. Friday or Saturday sounds good.
