As has already been said - many times in many places on the forums - not one staff member overrules another. We have a little democracy of our own, if you like - things are discussed, voted on and only if everyone is happy does a decision go ahead. If Steve had undisputed power, no one would be here :lol:

Also andy when he was dateing hex made her a mod all because they were going out.

She was suggested for the position long before that so make sure you get all the facts before jumping to conclusions. Also ive warned you before about bringing her into things. Sharon summed that up perfectly in her comment.

However, Hex became a mod because at the time Steve had stuff going on and we needed the extra pair of hands. There were three or four candidates put forward and Hex came out on top not because of her relationship with Andy but because she was posting links, helping people out and other stuff. Things went downhill because of complaints, personal reasons for her and other issues going on both on and off the boards which meant it was not possible to continue her position as it was. You all know this, so I will not reiterate further.

Well said and i have nothing to add to that as ive warned people about bringing that up time and time again. +rep Mod status is given to people who deserve it and who are right for the job.

f people don't like the rules, then signing up here is a bit pointless...but the only people who rage against the machine are those who have told someone to **** off or whatever and been hauled for it.

Agreed, if you dont agree to the rules then why tick the box that says you do to register.

Say if someone pmed a mod an insult and mod banned him is that fair in your eyes?

Would you intentionally walk up to a policeman and slap them in the face for giving you a warning?

Say it was an insult for getting back at someone. anyone from i think this is goona get at your goona say mods shouldent be insulted even in pms. So its okay for regular members to insult each other in pms. But if a member insults a mod after being insulted its a major no no.

No-one should be insulted in PM's and if they are it is reported to us and appropriate action is taken. The mods are here to help and not to be insulted or insult others.

Okay, I didn't read every one's response because I'm lazy, but just so I have a say in this... I didn't think highly of Hex. I don't want to say to much though, I don't talk behind peoples backs. You can get stab for that! " This isn't Xbox! You can die in this world! "

And I see some cons now in the voting system. Just because someone doesn't like someone else they shouldn't get banned. Nobody likes me and I'm not banned!

I STRONGLY agree that someone else gets a mod job. Maybe just one. Someone who as been here long and someone who can take a jokes. Someone who doesn't rush into things. And a Active member! Maybe a contest? No voting though, I don't like the popularity contest.

While I do believe having another moderator added to the forums is in order, I don't think it should be rushed into. But if it was I would have no objection, seeing as ANOTHER porn thread was made in the Fable 2 forum.

Blue Crow, I think you are just being an ungrateful little ****. The mods put their own PERSONAL time and money into this site to make it wonderful for US, and all you can do is badmouth them for being unfair? I think you should just be quiet and appreciate what you've got. You think you can be like Karl Marx and bring about a great reformation to this place. It doesn't need it.

Sorry if I inadvertantly offended anyone, but I love this place and it's worth sticking up for :blush:

The only thing that really sticks out here is that the only people who champion the cause for the Forum Revolution (it happens every so often, as you all know by now) are those who feel they were banned without good enough reason or those who are friends of the banned person. I get the loyalty thing and I also understand if someone feels wronged. But to make threads dedicated to the pulling-down of the community, staff and forums shows a lack of willingness to discuss matters in a mature and sensible manner.

The last thread dedicated to "corruption and evil in the ranks" didn't continue very well and that was due to the person refusing to discuss things calmly, politely and also in private where necessary - I would strongly advise that if this is the intention here (to inflame a situation and try to get banned/infraction given to somehow prove a point) then it will not end well for anyone.

I've said it before - I do not want these boards ranking highly for complaints amongst disgruntled ex-banned members. I want people to find this place for Fable stuff - otherwise we are going to attract an awful lot of very unpleasant people desperate to start fights because somehow it's "amusing".

Sensible calm discussion? By all means. Mudslinging, ancient history and personal vendettas? Absolutely not and send a PM instead.

I know exactly what you're talking about and if you send me or another member of the forums such an insulting PM again I have no problem banning you again... this time a bit longer than a week.

I don't care if you would've sent the PM to another member of the forum, if I had found out you would've suffered the consequences nontheless - the fact that you sent it straight to me simply sped up the process.

Another mod will probably be appointed to keep an eye on the early morning spam that we cant deal with (being human and having to sleep is a curse). The staff just have to discuss it and decide what we want to do etc.

Back in with the insults again... my your learning quick... havent you noticed by now that insults get you nowhere. You might be trying to make some point in all this somewhere but seems to be that your still just holding pointless grudges and not interested in anything but bringing all these to light again. Keep all things like this in PM's because i dont want to see anything like those last arguments on the boards again.

He didnt ban you for disagreeing with him, i thought i got that point across when we spoke on Live. He banned you for flat out insulting him, opinions are what forums are for and discussing things and you cant change peoples opinions. You only need to voice your views, whereas you argue a point as if your opinion is fact and other peoples is 'wrong' when its an opinion neither is right or wrong.

People can make points without the need to be insulting.

I pmed him about why megadeth is better later on the thread i made got locked by him i got mad sent him a pm with an insult in it and i got banned. Its really lame to me i got banned all because of an insult which was private so its not like anyone else saw it. So how can i keep in this in pms without getting banned?

You answered your own question there. It got locked because it was getting insulting in there and was closed to stop flaming occurring. You sent him an insulting PM rather than a query, if you had calmed down and spoke rationally it wouldnt have been closed or asked rationally. You got banned because insults to anyone in a PM or on the boards is not acceptable. You can avoid bans by stopping the insults it really is that simple. People do not need to insult people to communicate with them. Plus if people really need to argue with each other in PM's then we encourage them to sort disputes out between themselves to save further bad situations between them.

It wasnt as if he insulted you out of nowhere for no reason at all, the situation had already got past that and you had taken the insulting route so he probably decided that that was only way you understood. If someone came and insulted you for no reason at all, then that wouldnt be acceptable just like it wouldnt with anyone else. You werent some innocent victim who was insulted out of nowhere or anything. You already told me you had insults lined up for him showing that you had no intention of talking rationally with him.
