That's because I run away and hide like the pathetic gamer I am

Still nothing from Arse-gos, as I am now calling them, so Steve ordered another copy from Amazon last night and it arrived first thing this morning. So if and when the other copy arrives, I will take great pleasure in refusing delivery and demanding my money back.

Re: Halo : ODST

Is this game definitely worth getting? I have Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 but is ODST really similar to Halo 3? I would get it for the story cos I loved the main trilogy, I just want to know if it is worth buying or renting? :D

Re: Halo : ODST

yes the game is worth getting if you like the other halo's it has a good storyline and in between the missions you've got an open world so you wont ahve to do missions only if you want

Re: Halo : ODST

i actually preferred this game to halo 3, some bits reminded me of halo 1. firefight is SUWEET, but it does get a bit boring on easy and normal, you end up getting ridiculous amounts of lives and never dying.

Re: Halo : ODST

I would have never purchased this game if I had realized that the "new multiplayer" is really Halo 3. I already have Halo 3!

I'm not a big fan of campaigns either. But what can I do now? Might as well enjoy it. :)

Re: Halo : ODST

^ i personally quite enjoyed halo wars, but i only rented it. its a decent game, but COMPLETELY different to any other halo game. think command and conquer in very nice halo wallpaper. its not a bad rts as they go, but im no expert. personally id recommend it if you like rts's, not necessarily if you like the other halos. however, if you like both youre surely in for a treat :).

+rep for quick and informative reply ! I don't usually play rts's but is it quite similar to games like Age of Empires etc ? It's £25 down at my local HMV so I mite pick it up as soon as my pockets fill up a bit more :p lol cheers JackOfSpades

Had some great games this week, mate. Next time you're on we've got to try and organize a Heroic Firefight game and get that Vidmaster Endure achievement.

Go in, my son! Next time you're online I'll send you an invite to play some Firefight. I'm well jealous that you've got the Limited Edition Halo 3: ODST controller as well. :p

Age of Empires II = brilliant game! By the way, I don't know if the offer is still on, but I purchased Halo Wars via HMV online and got it for £17.99 delivered. That was a fair few months ago, though.

Re: Halo : ODST

^ Wicked ! It's been awhile so i is a bit rusty at Halo MP loz but I can hold my own ! :D I couldn't believe it when I saw it at my local game, thought they wud be all sold out. Worked out cheaper to get the LE than just by the game and a separate controller. The controller looks AWESOME btw ! :p

I love Age of Empires II aswell, my bro has AoE III, haven't tried it yet but it looks sweet ! :D Also thanks for the heads up on the price of Halo Wars. £25 is still not a bad price tho.

Re: Halo : ODST

I took my game back before the 7 day money back return thing was over. So i got my $100 back, So not worth the money or the wait.

Its just a new campaign and new multiplayer levels.

It could of just been an Add-on really.

Re: Halo : ODST

i am a hardcore halo fan but it is not worth the money u pay for it, me and my 2 m8s did the campaign on legendary in 3-4 hours, the firefight just gets kinda repetitive like gears 2 but is still pretty good but only when theres ppl to play wiv, same with campaign but the guns and some new content were pretty good. i would rate it 7/10, its a rent not a buy personally, im likely to take my odst back for money

Re: Halo : ODST

I haven't completed the campaign yet but the last time I played it on co-op it was a blast. Firefight is a lot of fun too but I don't get many opportunities to play with a full team because hardly any of the people on my buddy list are simultaneously playing it. I'm still proper gutted that there's no matchmaking. Shame on you, Bungie. SHAME.

Re: Halo : ODST

To Ego: Sorry I haven't been on, I don't know when your normal play tiems are in my time zone XD.

People say it sucks, I think it rocks, I can see it's faults, but I like the aesthetic style and the music, I am huge i nthe halo universe, and people say the transition and backstory contradicts previous canon, in my opinion, it is Bungies story and they can do whatever the heck they want, it is a fun game, pleasing to the eyes and ears and has good replayability for people who have enough imagination to narrarate their own stroy in free-roam like me.
