Re: No Natal

i have no opinion on the matter as idunno how good natal will be. if its good, they should have put it in fable 3. the touch expressions would be cool if you hugged the air and you hugged someone in game. if it was bad, then it would make the victory arm pump expression look like you were pulling your sausage.

Re: No Natal

It's already been said many times on these forums that they don't plan to use Natal.

Re: No Natal

Considering the menu, combat, and movement involved in the Fable series, I don't think using Natal would even be a good idea.

this thread would be useful stickied... that would save us a lot of "fable 3 is gonna suck cause it'll be project natal" threads.

Re: No Natal

Zero Punctuation said it better than anyone:

... all these motion sensor concepts have to eventually face the facts that people play games to unwind and no one unwinds by coming home and waving their arms about like an air traffic controller covered in beetles.

I for one am glad that they're opting to not use Natal. If they did use it, though, it shouldn't go beyond facial recognition for loading files or something.

Re: No Natal

Not using Natal in Fable 3 can only be a good thing. Having to go back and forth between two interfaces in a game would just be irritating.

As it stands the only use I have for natal is easier menu navigation on the X-box dashboard.

Re: No Natal

i won't be angry with lionhead, if they give an option. Or they do something like wii sports, you buy the game and you get natal. That is my theory why f3 was confirmed soo early, so it can be bundled with natal. Other evidence is PM working on Milo, and just the fact fable and fable 2 like had a 4 year gap. Well watevr lionhead are pushing to release fable 3 quickly

Im sure they will release natal with it, that comment is just to calm down the flaming young rebelious teenagers.

it's not a game engine, well it kind of is. But it uses motion sensing. Which is like the wii.

Search it on youtube.

But i see fable 3 with natal, apart from the price, it would be fun i think, since pm confirmed it wldnt be an rpg, i see it more of a sim, you do all these commands in your palace, though the kings eyes, like talking to people

yes at first i thnk so, but if it isn't going to be an rpg, then i thnk natal would suit it, since PM wants to be "new." You can do alot with Natal.

Re: No Natal

Well as long as its nothing like the wii motion sensor thing. I am fed up of hearing how the game really uses the motion sensor to its peak and then only to have a game where you just move the remote to attack.

He said it would be different from conventional RPGs. He never said it wouldn't be one.

Why would they lie just to shut up whiny teenagers? The whiny teenagers would only whine more when they found out it was a lie.

Yeah, where'd you get that it wasn't an RPG? There was the ONE interview that said
IGN from Peter Molyneaux said:
"But whether it's more action or RPG or MMO or some new genre--that's what we have to do."
Yeah, that sounds like something, but then the reveal conference and everything else sounded more like the usual RPG, just with strategy elements. There was nothing that implied it wasn't a RPG, though. And Peter Molyneaux is famous for talking out his ass.

Natal is nothing like the Wii remote jiggle thing. Trust me look it up. Personally, I like the idea of possibly having at least the option to use Natal when it is released. It would sort of be like the guitar hero controllers... as in you have the option to go out and buy them if you want or you can continue to play the game with a normal control.

I can't wait for Natal. It's going to be something that changes games and this is good. Progress is good, so lets try to stop being so cynical, hmm?
