Why did this become about me? The topic is about your view on weed smoking, not me! But yea, I believe it should be legalized.

My thinking is that whether is legal or not, people are still gonna over use it and skrew their lives up. But the same thing happens with alcholol and thats legal. But just like alcholol, it only messes you up if you over do it.

But if it was legalized, there would be no need to smuggle it, so it would cut back on gang activity. And we could save alot of police hours currently being used to stop minor offenders.

As for smoking it, I dont, and probobly never would.

But why should it be legalized? What are the benefits? What are the downsides? How would you overcome the downsides if it was up to you?

If it was up to me, I would legalize it, and tax it. We save lives on two fronts. Ron Paul had the right idea, but not the right media coverage. You never heard about any of the Ron Paul riots on the news. There were a ton...

Especially in Texas.
I think it should be legalized, but I draw the line on the other illegal drugs. They kill.
I just think pot is one thing that people won't stop doing, no matter how many prisons we build. I think it's a total waste of tax dollars to send people to jail, over just that.
