Who or What Is Aurora?

In Fable II DLC 2 See the Future Theresa says:
Theresa said:
"This is the real future. His child, not yet born, but destined for greatness.
A child on whom the fate of Albion will depend one day.
As will the fate of Aurora."
Now who or what is Aurora?

According to astronomy on Wikipedia "aurora" is the northern and southern polar lights. Since I can't see what this has to do with Fable, I'm guessing maybe Aurora is a person? Someone the child will have to protect or sacrifice?

If you watch the video on YouTube there is light surrounding Theresa, light that kinda resembles polar light. So what if Theresa is Aurora? and you can decide her fate in Fable III as the child of the hero from Fable II?

Pretty far out, I know, but it's not like we've got a whole lot to speculate about

Re: Who or What Is Aurora?

im guessing its a person, but it could be anything. or perhaps because the child of the fable 2 hero has to decide the fate of aurora, and they also have to overthrow the crown (two things we already know), aurora could have something to do with the kingship.

No, Aurora is definetly a place of some description. I don't know where you got the Aurora = Theresa idea from.

Re: Who or What Is Aurora?

Maybe Aurora is the planet on which Fable takes place?

Re: Who or What Is Aurora?

I'd could be some sort of meaning for the Hero's bloodline?

If she said for the fate of Albion why would she say the fate of Aurora?

Yeah, what? It seemed like Aurora was a name for a person, not a place, to me. I could be wrong, but just the way Theresa said it seemed that way. I was actually thinking that it might be your F2 hero's kid, but that would seem to imply a female character.

So maybe it's gonna be the sibling of the F3 hero?

Or, maybe, lunatic conspiracy time, Aurora is Rose, returned from wherever the mysterious hooded man took her to overthrow her sibling.

EDIT: Actually, on second thought, there is some food for lunatic conspiracy there. In Disney's Sleeping Beauty, the princess was named Aurora, and got renamed Briar Rose when she was hiding from the evil fairy. Make whatever you want out of that. Or whatever you don't want. I'm not seriously suggesting anything... or am I?

Well, at least I'm suggesting that somebody at Lionhead is a Sleeping Beauty fan.

Yes i thought that Aurora would be the girl in the crib in the "See the future video" when you access the "The Tattered Spire" item.

Yeah, but that does raise questions-- assuming that it is a girl, it is the daughter of the F2 Hero-- then how are you, the F3 hero, going to relate to/deal with them, assuming that Lionhead doesn't make you automatically play as a female character (which I don't see them doing).

Re: Who or What Is Aurora?

She said

"the fate of the whole of Albion as is the fate of Aurora" (may be misquoted slightly but not much).

1. She talked about Aurora and Albion in the same sentence and in the same terms.
2. If Aurora was a person she probably would have referred to it by more human terms than by sweepingly refferring to it by its name.

Re: Who or What Is Aurora?

I posted the same thread on the Lionhead forum and a member called Fata1moose says a developer told him Aurora is a "what" and not a "who"
So I'm thinking more and more it's a place (Theresa isn't Aurora then :p)

Yes, Wikipedia says that Aurora is the Northern Light. But Aurora is, according to Wikipedia again, also Latin for 'dawn'. Aurora also is the Goddess of Dawn in Roman mythology.
Im not making a conclusion, I'm trying to help ye other other guyz ^^.

so because aurora is "what" and not "who"
i'm going to guess it is some sort of holy land or building.

Okay, you know what? I just watched a video of it on youtube. You very well could be right.

Though I do disagree with you on the second point. How else would you refer to a person? But yes, on further review it does sound like a place.

Could be, but... I don't know, it just sounds like a dumb name for a continent. Or a state, for that matter. Though, as I remember, it made a decent planet in somebody or other's science fiction. Possibly Asimov.

They (they being people with similar messages to Theresa) usuaully use more humanising terms such as "they" or "she". It is also common to give descriptions of their character i.e. "the lonely wanderor".
