For example: 1989=89, 1994=94.

Then you had 2000=00.

Actually, we do have that technology, you do not have to wipe out every human. One country launches a nuke, everyone goes nuts. The few surviving would be too stupid to help humanity. As for the calendars, you never know...

fair enough. i was thinking more along the lines of "all at once" and "from one source".
while a religious afiliation may make you think that the riteous will be saved or the opposite...to me the apocalypse just generally means that everyone dies at once...the only nonreligious definition i could find

But Obama isn't the anti-christ, sure he is powerful and someone most people wouldnt have expected to be president (First black one) but he isn't it, there has to be more signs according to chritianity and almost every other reiligion.
