things are still a little choppy if you haven't noticed. just in case something's being overlooked, post any problems you're having here.

number one for me is there are no avatars. not just they aren't being displayed, they can't be uploaded either.

i'd also like to know if eventually all of the threads and posts will have the same URL they used to.
 
It's most unlikely that the URIs will be the same. Why? Simple. The search engine optimization which vBulletin (vBSEO) used is different from that of XF. Every SEO company has its own preferences if it comes to resolving URIs and whatnot.

And Angel and Andy mentioned that there are loads of issues to be converted still, and loads of errors to fix as well. So the avatars shouldn't take too long. And you have to take priority, fixing-wise. ;)
 
The avatars will return in uno-momento.
 
the notifications tab is a bit buggy. one click and it shows recent notifications, a second (which one might do if they were thinking of closing it) takes your browser to the notifications page.

also, i had some notifications appearing unread again when i navigated to the forum index.

But seriously, I probably should've paid more attention. Couldn't get on this morning, 500 error sign. Then got on and it's all different. Was it an update, forum swap...?

it was a complete forum swap. we switched from vBulletin to Xenforo aka xena warrior princess.

new bug: i'm noticing significant lag time between what appears as the recent post when browsing and what actually is the newest post.
 
The fail is over 9000.

I kid. But really, I want the forums back to the way they were :(

Ive checked in the Admin CP (seems so alien to me) and they are enabled there. Can you try again?

Havent tried it but im sure if its not working its on the 'to do' list.
 
Regarding avatar uploads: It works perfect for me. However, if someone wouldn't mind sending me their password and allowing me temporary access to their account, I can look into it. Send me your password via a "Conversation" - that's the new PM system.

No worries. That's just the image's "alternate text". Basically, because cheez's avatar was "broken" it displayed the alternate text which is not controlled via CSS. You shouldn't encounter that bug again now that avatars have been restored.
