i noticed it takes a little while for the "add link/image/media" URL text box to pop up. while it loads it shows the top left corner of the background.
not a hinderance... but it looks sloppy and is in all likelihood something worth fixing.
EDIT: and i'm guessing that the avatar thing is one of those things that should just be corrected between now and the official release... as steve was working on it earlier and it isn't fixed.

i've noticed a slight problem with the post reply button. it's happened more than once, so i know it isn't just user error (unless i'm COMPLETELY hopeless).
sometimes it takes a number of clicks to make the post actually appear. i click it, the button going in animation is shown, but the thread isn't updated. usually it takes 3-5 tries when this happens before the reply actually goes through.
i know it isn't just an inherent delay and i'm clicking while the page loads, because the message ALWAYS goes up en queue with my hitting post reply.

every once and a while i'll get an internal server error. it's got a massive amount of text on it so i didn't save it all, unfortunately. if it happens again i will. basically it pops up when entering a message sometimes. it'll pop up with every retry, too. the only fix is to copy what you have written and refresh.
EDIT: i forgot to add something else important. the new embed is broken. i tried uploading a youtube video and, while the bbcode was entered successfully, the video wouldn't appear. not even space in the post in the place where it should be. proof:

I got a fatal error first time I tried to load the website, but ever since refreshing it has worked alright.
Hmm...most strange. I really am starting t believe that I'm getting to the bottom as to why some users are having difficulties (with avatars for example) and others aren't...it's just tricky narrowing down what it is they all have in common.
i know you're calling it a night steven wright, but you can read this bright and early tomorrow.

Odd delay on typing: I will admit that the more I type the more it irritates me. It especially seems to slow down when I try to backspace. Considering that I tend to make a lot of typos (or just decide to change my phrasing halfway through a word) and have to fix them quickly, it's a pain that I get this odd lagging cursor effect. I'm not sure what's causing that, obviously, or whether it actually has anything to do with the new software, though I would assume it does.
Also, avatars are showing up for me, but they're all blurry. Is that just because they're bigger here... or something?

Oh and by the way, the "insert hyperlink" button doesn't work.
I type in a word, hightlight it to make it a link, click on the "insert/edit link" button, paste my URL in the new box that pops up, click the word "insert" and it does this
you get a notification when you reply to a private conversation... something you would think to have already been aware of. :lol:
new problem... the links all take you to the forum index. i went through and updated every link in my signature, and they all go back to the main page.
That is one problem I have been working on for most of today. In order to direct all old URLs to the new XF URLs, I have to use little bit of .htaccess magic. Bear with me.
a friend of mine is trying to register (i finally convinced him)
and apparently the capcha at the bottom of the registration form is rejecting any and all attempts... making registration impossible.

i tried filling it out for him and it went through. i can ask him to try and register a second account for the sake of debugging if you'd like.
if he does the username will be "delete me"
I can't change my avatar? Get an error everytime I try. Though maybe the files too big? I'll fool around with it.
