Hey all,

Ken here, writer/producer of “FOX News Gamers Weekly” for the FOX News Channel. Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up that we have posted our full review of “Fable 3” (which is awesome), along with a separate in-depth interview with the game’s legendary creator, Peter Molyneux. Peter talks to us about the future of gaming, as well as his take on “games as art.” Really cool stuff.

No offence, man, but that sounded more like an advert for Fable 3 than a review.
 
Autarch: No offense taken. We have a time limit on the length of our podcasts... It's tough to condense such a complex game to that amount of time AND provide editorial commentary. Please watch our interview, as well, which supplements the review.

But, one thing we did which you probably haven't seen much of, is the material when you finally become King... Which is SO vital to the emotional impact of the game. Yes, we made grand statements, but it's only because it's THAT amazing.

I've seen all of it, actually. :P

I do enjoy the rampant changes you inflict, but there are flaws in the system and the general "rush" of kingship. It's decent and the power is rather intoxicating but I wouldn't quantify it as "amazing". :p
 
It's EMOTIONAL, is the point. I agree to some extent, but I took the game as a whole, and not just the sum of its parts.

andy: For me, there are now four games I really think of as art: "Ico," "Shadow of the Colossus," "Heavy Rain," and "Fable 3." I mean, sure, the Mario games, Zelda, Metroid, and a few others like Flower and Echochrome could be regarded as artistic achievements... But those four games strive to MOVE you in a much deeper way. They're not just "pretty," or "perfectly constructed," or even "artistic"... They're ART, because they challenge you on a PERSONAL level, not just a skill level. Anyway, I agree.
 
To each his own, it's a review, so take from it what you will and then make your own decision when you get the game. But it is nice to see someone enjoying something so much, especially with the knowledge that I'll have my hands on it sooner rather than later. Hopefully I'll experience similar feelings of pleasure and satisfaction. Nice post ^_^

You're going to the rally?! Ugh (jealousy/rage). I'd go but I haven't found a ride and I won't have my car on campus until early November :'(

Hey Yoruichi, just a heads-up... "FOX News Gamers Weekly" has been around for over three years now. Our first review was the original "Crackdown" on the XBOX 360. Check out ALL of our reviews at foxnews.com/gamersweekly. Thanks :)

zmalt: Glad you enjoyed the review, man! Sure, I could make some minor, minor criticisms about the game, but it really moved me, in a way that most other games don't. Anyway, it's pretty spectacular... Don't listen to the negative reviews. "Fable 3" is more than gameplay mechanics, it's a work of art.
