Ubisoft have released another trailer showing Assassins Creed III in all its new engine glory...
Anvil Next is said to feature advancements that allow players to encounter up to 2,000 characters in a single sequence and "epic" sea battles with water simulation.
Plus, new character Connor, the "conflicted" hero of Assassin's Creed 3 will have more than 1,000 new animations resulting in the most detailed third-person action character ever created,

This would've been awesome in Skyrim..

Sounds like Nathan Drake is going to get a run for his money.

The irony that they both have characters voiced by the same person (Nolan North). I think this new engine looks superb, not just graphically but the physics engine looks fantastic too as well as the contextual animations. Uncharted was more about the graphics and set pieces more action based.

You can't compare Assassin's Creed with Uncharted. You just can't, but saying that Uncharted was just about the graphics and set pieces is cheap as saying that Assassin's Creed was all about the graphics.

Didnt say they were the only good things, just that graphics and set pieces were used as its selling point/first draw. Uncharted is very set piece based and movie like and goes for more flair. Whereas Assassins Creed is pushed on its graphics and physics as its first draw and more freedom & choice based. Though both essentially use visualisation and their engines as their main selling points, though gameplay wise I wouldnt actually compare them as they are different style of games (not because I put any of them on a pedestal) and only comparision I actually made was that they both had characters voiced by the same person.

Yeah... Right...
..Yeah..

I agree, too much marketing focus on the "life-like" graphics and dynamically epic environments. When I had the game I couldn't have cared less for the excellent visuals, it was the superb gameplay mechanics that won my heart. The fluid action, quick input response and combat freedom made Uncharted terribly addictive for me and I wish more 3rd person shooters would follow its method instead of the Gears of War path.

Now that I think about it, I really do need to finish AC: Brotherhood (especially if its story may be important to 3).. barely done much in it

More games just need to give you the freedom of choice and different ways to do things rather than push you down a narrow path to the end with one way to accomplish goals.

I need to finish Revelations too, its on my list with about 3 other games currently that I need to get through. Been trying to juggle games around and vary time between them, however Skyrim took all my gaming time and pushed other games into the background.

You sound like an AC fanboi.

I know that feel, bro. Back to being Skyrim's female poodle again as usual, but it can't be helped.. Dawnguard's been a good DLC thus far I must say. I want to put it down soon so I can get back to finishing up Saints Row 3.
