  • dude its been a long day haha ive been on all of the gravity discs at the fair 20ft high spinning vertidcal wheel no straps **** it was awsome after eating 3 icecreams :L
Okay, I guess Dell is out of the question lol.

How would I work out whether a GPU would be compatible? Are there any websites out there that would scan my system performance and check compatability?

Lol, I have next to no technical information so I would need someone to help out, yeah. If you live close to Somerset I could probably drop some stuff off? Mind you, it's completely hypothetical; I have a limited cash flow atm and need to work out stuff.

What are the main components you would need for a PC, and how much for all the components?

Well, it seems that I'll probably get a desktop then, and just a small netbook or something for work. They're pretty cheap, and all I really need is Word for lectures and essays.
    Alright, cheers mate.

I can probably do that for the GPU

My resolution is 1024 by 728, I'm not sure what to make of that lol.

For removing the case panel, would it really just be unscrewing the case or would it be more technical. I can unscrew most things, I reckin.

I'm thinking of buying a new PC in the holidays, so I need to decide whether I want a laptop (which would be more practical for work etc.) or a desktop for gaming. If I was going desktop, I would probably be able to cash out for a relatively decent gaming rig, but I'm unsure on gaming on a laptop. Would something like this be relatively good gaming-wise?

I really doubt my current PC could play TLC tbh, it can barely run Guild Wars on lowest settings, BUT the only thing I really need to upgrade for things like that is the GPU, and I could probably pick up a card under 40 squid that would be able to play TLC, so I'll probably do that in the meantime.

EDIT: Looking at the specs for the dell laptop, it's certainly alot more expensive to buy that with the same specs I would get with a desktop, but I figure it would sort my needs better. Can you change the memory card in a laptop?
Haha owned why dont you use this time to download tf2 and we will play :( no one i know plays it now :'(
Alright chap, just asking for some advice regarding video cards.
Firstly, can any PC run a video card, as in do I have to uninstall anything and rejig some technical stuff or do I simply plug the card in?

Second, can you recmmend some cards (relatively) cheaply that would have a good chance of playing Fable 3?

My computer is really quite bad, it's got 2.8 Ghz and only 1 gb RAM. I understand this most likely won't be sufficient to run Fable 3, any suggestinos?
Youve changed thread :L you was on the same thread for 1 hour hahaha did you check to see if my news thread was up to date and if i deserved bard ? :) (no rush) and wana come on tf2
