i weep for you. i think there is a cooling atatchment you can get and hook up to the back to prevent that from happening. but i gots an eleite so i dont have to worry.

Two times? That sucks. I think I feel bad now that mine has lasted so long. :lol:
About TJ's post, if you do get an intercooler, make sure it is one that does not go through the 360's power supply. Many problems have been reported with those.

And and kinda funny thing, my friend got the RROD a couple days after his warranty was out. Then he got an elite.

Yeah they were melting to the consoles and voiding the warranty, they dont make that kind anymore but i bet there are a few in circulation.

Sorry to hear that your 360 has red ring'd on you again! I hear that if you complain enough to the Microsoft reps on the phone that they'll include a free game when they ship your console back to you. Rumour has it that only works for people who've had their 360 get the RRoD three or four times, though. Might be worth a try!

Not Microsofts fault, probably an error somewhere in the ranking system at Bungie. Should email them and see if they can help. Or hop onto the Bungie forums and see if anyone has the same issue.

Is that for Lone Wolves or Team Slayer? Because, unless Bungie has changed their ranking algorithm for ranking up in Halo 3 in the months I've been away, it's pretty easy to get at least lv.20+ in Lone Wolves. Not trying to say I'm good or anything, I'm actually really poo at the game but I still managed to get to lv. 34 for Lone Wolves before I stopped playing.
And yeah, it's even suggested on the official Xbox forums (by members, not Microsoft staff) that you moan a little to try and get a free game or controller or even headset thrown in if you've been through the RRoD a few times.

Thought I would mention my past arguments, and share them to all who may have experienced the same issue.
