Alan Wake

So... anyone else got it? Or you all too busy playing cowboy in Red Dead Redemption? If you did get it, what are your thoughts on it?

Personally I love it, and I am in love with Bright Falls. Such a beautiful place. Sorta wish I could move there in real life...

Re: Alan Wake

Sorry, being a cowboy at the moment. Hogtying baddies, skinning armadillos, accidentally shooting lawmen in the face, etc etc.

Re: Alan Wake

Oh I want both, friggin A-level exams eat my time....which is of course spent revising, not on here :ninja:

I would rather get Alan Wake though. Is the story as gripping as it was supposed to be Tsuyu?

Re: Alan Wake

Soooo... Don't hit me... But what is this game about? I've only seen one video about it and hes using a flashlight to burn dark creatures or something. And the ground goes all rippity rip rip and **** flies around all over the place.

Re: Alan Wake

When I get a job, I intend to buy both.

Imagine Stephen King losing his wife as well as getting trapped inside one of his novels trying to survive and find said wife. Spice it up with an ancient eldricht horror á la Lovecraft - et voilá!

Re: Alan Wake

I very much enjoyed the storyline and the overall atmosphere of this game. It very much played out like a mini-series with the chapters and "Previously On..." The parallels to Night Springs were entertaining/comedic as were the Old Gods of Asgard and the callback/homage to the Max Payne days garner a well deserved bravo.

The plot drew me in and the twists were something out of an m night shyamalan movie. As much as I loved heavy rain, this was more interactive in my opinion.

Good Stuff...

I read the book, (Well... Most of it.) and I liked it, I do not have Red Dead... I need to finish FFXIII. After that I am getting Fable III and Reach, probably F.3.A.R and Black Ops on Christmas, not sure how I will squeeze in Portal 2.
