On the heels of the triumphant Oct. 26 launch of "Fable III," fans who crave even more action and adventure will revel in the all new "Fable III" Understone Quest Pack. Available on Nov. 23 on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points, the new Game Add-on introduces three unique quests to continue expanding the world of Albion.

With the “Fable III” Understone Quest Pack, your hero will discover a mysterious town built beneath the streets of Bowerstone, crafted by eccentric inventor Montague Hummes. This full scale town is bustling with new houses and stalls to own, novel creatures to battle and a major mystery to solve. As added bonuses, you’re invited to explore the Mercenary Shooting Range and the Wheel of Misfortune, for chances to win in-game prizes. The “Fable III” Understone Quest Pack comes filled to the brim with the following:

“The Voice” : In the main quest, explore the mysterious underground land built by Montague Hummes in fear of the Spire in “Fable II” -
  • Discover the origin of the voice that controls the people of Understone
    • Features a moral decision that will lead to two drastically different outcomes in Understone
“Shooting Range” : After defeating Saker during your quest to become King, the remaining Mercenaries have turned their camp into a tourist attraction. The main attraction being the replayable shooting range mode -

  • Beat the high scores to win three prizes that can be used while playing the minigame: the Marksman 500 (gifted to players for downloading the the pack), Money Shot (prize) and Black Dragon (prize)
“The Wheel of Misfortune” : After Reaver vacated his home, he set up a venture for budding heroes to replay the thrilling arena-based challenges within his new dwellings -

  • Beat the high scores to win three new weapons that can be used while playing in the minigame: The Full Monty (gifted to player upon downloading pack), Dirty Harriet (prize) and Dead Ned’s Revolver (prize)

Just three quests? Any word on the rewards they offer? Maybe... new weapons perhaps? New spells? New outfits?

I'm not quite sure whether the hair package is worth 160 MS points... they should've placed it in-game in the first place.

The quests do sound good though. Might be getting that one, but there's no way I'm spending 160 MS points for a mere "exclusive" - which shouldn't have been in the first place - hair package.

In the blog I thought they listed all the new weapons.

Also can you actually find armored children in mourningwood?

Hmm shame that they are giving away the Black Dragon, as the in the lore it is a weapon imbued with the spirit of the true hero of skill, one of the Triumvirate. If taken away from their tomb the power is lost, so having it as a prize in the wheel of misfortune is a shame, canon-wise. Was hoping to discover the tomb at a later date either in DLC or Fable IV.

unless either the black dragon isn't a single gun but a model made famous by the hero of skill or the one in game is just a replica

It's a joke relating to the game Red Dead Revolver, which was renamed Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption is two different games :)
Redemption being the sequel to Revolver.

Still! it's funny!
OT: Sucks that we only get 3 quests... Id like to see some ingame content first before I purchase did.. although the moral choice does seems a nice touch to it, at least we get to be king once more

I don't get it though.
A revolver that belongs to a dead guy named Ned?
OT: All I care about is new clothes - pretty much
and an Arena, wheel of misfortune could be this Arena :D

Hmm, Black Dragon. Wonder if we will eventually get Quicksilver or The Gauntlet

Precisely what i was thinking as well. Great book. Where would the mercenaries have gotten the Black Dragon?

So that's a confirmed date? Looking forward to it. :)

Dragon Warrior and Dragon Quest are two different games from the same series. What's the bloody difference? Ned's Dead Revolver only makes sense if you compare it to the old RDR game and not the new one, which more people have played. I say lump them both together. It doesn't matter.

and an Arena, wheel of misfortune could be this Arena :D
I recognized all of the symbols on the Wheel of Misfortune and the enemies they stand for... but there's also a plain question mark "?" symbol on one of the outcomes. I wonder if there will be something special behind that door or if it's just shadows/dark minions.

Le Sigh. I still don't have internet at my house- so no Microsoft Live. Oh well. Who wants to pay for something that should have been included in the game anyway.

Honestly, this is complete BS. This DLC-pack could well have been in the retail version of the game. And that their selling hair-packs and a dog potion by the side, while they could have been included in the "understone"DLC-pack? It's not that I don't think the pack will be worth the 400 MS points, but it's just wrong to take out a fragment of the game from the retail version, just to sell it as an "expansion" a month after the release. I know this is Microsofts doing... I'm fine with expansion packs, but why don't they focus on making a fleshed out game first? I'm thinking of games like fallout 3... Or indeed red dead redemption. Man, those games were fleshed out to the brim. Overwhelmingly amounts of interesting and enjoyable stuff to do in the retail version, and expansions packs that actually added more than an hour of gameplay and a couple of weapons.

Now, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love the fable games! I'm not ranting about Fable here, I'm ranting about capitalism. The price has to reflect the value. You can't sell a cake missing a slice for the full price, and then sell that last slice by the side, with the total price adding up to more than what an entire cake is... really... worth... Man I SUCK att allegories! :p

Great book.
lol no.

I hate Lionhead and Microsoft even more. You guys know these DLC packs were up before Fable 3 was even released? There is NO reason they weren't in the game.

Oh yeah, it's because Microsoft are money whores.
